ABSOLUTELY loved this episode Wow to Alex the best so far this season top 5
This episode had evertthing Love, Friendship, Brotherhood, Action, Beautiful scenery and lots of Emotions from Steve. This was a hour of Mcgarrett and why he became the man who he is today. Showed how important friendship is for Steve. Cast an interesting new light on the beginning of the pilot episode as he lots his best friend and father so close together. Picking his best friend to go with him on a dangers mission and he had to leave him behind something a seal never dose. It showed that the relationship with steve and cath gose back a long way while they were in the navy. Good to see Jimmy Buffet back sad to see what happened to Tangerine the helicopter. It was fun seeing Steve and Freddie doing their Seal Training days. The funeral was very sad with Steve giving Freddie's daughter the dog chain. Did not miss Danny, Chin and Kono in this episode. As it is only one episode in 24 and they must off had a nice week off. |

Good episode last night. Nicely tied up the pilot episode in how McGarrett caught Anton Hesse.
By the way how do you do that spoiler thing? |

Bored to death with last night's episode. Steve is my least favourite character of the team. Yes, I know, but I find him really annoying at times.
Regarding the finale, it doesn't actually state what happens. Someone could be kidnapped or anything. I don't want any member disappearing. When they start messing around with shows it usually destroys them. Hope we're back to Hawaii next week .... |

Was the snake harmed during the making of this episode. Reminds me of Italian horror films of the 70's when they skinned snakes alive. Another unrealistic episode with all the bullets flying about.

Having read a lot of articles online regarding Hawaii Five-O’s recent renewal for a 4th season and the subsequent move to a Friday night slot in the US, it does suggest that next season will be the programmes last.
It was assumed that CBS would give Hawaii Five-O a 4th season so that they have a lucrative syndication package they can sell both in the US and internationally, but Friday is traditionally the night programmes go to die so the suggestion seems to be that they’ve moved it to Friday to complete the syndication requirement and then let it slowly come to an end. Of course you could take a positive spin on it and say that the ratings requirement for a Friday night slot are a lot lower, which might help Hawaii Five O given its currently struggling ratings. And some programmes, such as Blue Bloods, have used this logic to continue for a number of years (lower ratings on Friday night are more acceptable than the same ratings on, say, a Monday night). It’s far to early to say anything for sure yet but my prediction is that ratings will continue to decline in the new slot and next season will be the last. But I hope that the move to Fridays is a successful one that turns out to be an advantage. Time will tell… |

Time will tell… I think Hawaii is still very fresh, but sometimes it is better for shows to go out with a bang, rather than being put out of their misery after a season or two of mediocrity and fizzling out like the two CSI spinoffs. I'm also still enjoying CSI (the original Vegas version), I think it has benefitted from cast changes to keep it a bit fresher, but again, I think I'd sooner it finished while it's still watchable than have it go out once people have really come to dislike it. |
