Blue Bloods has only been running the same length as Hawaii, both have just completed a 3rd season. Don't see how that is comparable at all.
I referred to Blue Bloods as an example of a programme that has survived for a number of seasons in the Friday slot, thus disproving that a Friday night slot is a death sentence, as is commonly claimed.
I also think Blue Bloods is a good example of how the Friday ‘death’ slot can actually be worked to a programmes advantage in some cases. Blue Bloods has never had high ratings, in fact its ratings wouldn’t have been tolerated on any other night, so being on a Friday actually ‘saved’ it and has gotten it this far. CBS did move it to anther night once, its ratings were awful so they moved it back to Friday, where its similar ratings were acceptably.

This could be good news for Hawaii Five O despite the recent reports all over the internet.

But for what its worth I’d say Blue Bloods is in the same boat as Hawaii Five O, CBS want a complete 4 seasons for syndication purposes. At the end of the 4th season I also suspect Blue Bloods could well be facing the axe too.

Ratings for the third season of H5-0 have dropped by a couple million according to Wikipedia. I hope it doesn't die at the end of the fourth season, quite enjoy my weekly 5-0 kick.

Hawaii Five 0 was having problems with rubbish comedy shows before there programe. So the peaple watching comedy do not want to see cop shows. Putting Hawaii Five 0 on before Blue Bloods on Friday can only be good as they have two good shows to watch on Friday nights

Well you forgot to mention that Hawaii Five 0 will be on at 9.00 on fridays 1 hour earlier in the USA so more people will watch instead of recording the programe on monday as they have to get up for work.
Blue Bloods Ratings are good, for the whole season 3 they were getting between 10 million and 12 millon people. So if Hawaii Five 0 gets these numbers we will get more seasons .
So everyone will just have to wait and see what happens, because I love this show and don't want it to get cancelled.

Sounds like they might be on to something then.

Hasn't it already got a syndication deal? I'd think they would squeeze out at least a 5th season to pad the episode count a little more unless the ratings plummet to where even that wouldn't justify a renewal

Another thing that could save it is there a few shows that are on the block based on the past seasons ratings and longevity of the show

The Good Wife, The Mentalist, Blue Bloods and Hawaii 5-0 will be the 4 returning Dramas most likely to be on the bubble so to speak to start the season in September..

They wont all be cancelled come next May as there will be some 1st year shows being axed as always.

If I had to bet on it right now (I know wayyyyy early and based on the shows having similar ratings as the past seasons had) I'd say the Mentalist ends with Jayne getting RJ and the Good Wife having got its syndication deal at last goes, with Blue Bloods and Hawaii getting the 5th seasons to pad the episode count

It did seem like a bit of a low-key end for Wo-fat; but I enjoyed it.

I thought things would pick up after last weeks' episode, which I really didn't like.
But, wow! I really can't believe how bad this one was
I'm struggling to find something positive to say really, but I suppose it was quite a brave way to show Steve bringing down his nemesis....I really am hoping for a great episode next week, though, because I think it's gone off track as far as the writing goes.

not sure it is the end of the Wo-Fat story, still have to find out why Steve's mom let him go when she could have killed him

I thought it was a good episode different and fun to watch

I liked how the main 4 charactors clearly were unhappy with the reporter lady being there. Not makeing them look stupid in front of the camera.
The cargument from the view of the back seat in the car was fun
Wo Fat trying to sneak away from the crime scene right under 5 0 noses and stops to giv a interview.
Some good team moments
Kono the computer Girl and her X Box training
Danny hated the camera crew being there
Wo Fat being badly injured and burnt in the helicopter shootout and Steve not shooting him when he could have. He might have done if the camers were not there.
Liked the ending shot with steve standing looking at Wo Fat in hospital

The Bad
Max behaved like an idiot in front of the camers. They need to get rid of him, he is not funny and very wooden when trying to act.
Savanah got pretty annoying after a while needed a bit less of her

Just watched last night's episode and really hated it! Why does this show have a fasciation with the character of Wo-Fat ?!! It's not the end of the character, but it's the end of my being a viewer!

I now realise that I am watching the show out of habit, and have taken it off my series planner!

Last nights episode, Sunday 26th May is very slow at appearing On Demand, which is how I watch it.

3pm Monday and still not showing.

Presuming it's a repeat on SKY One Thursday at 10pm ?

Which is no good for me, as it clashes with more important programmes, +1 too.

It's finally appeared on On Demand, Monday 27th, though at the moment only the SD version, at 4:45pm.

May have been sooner, but certainly after 3pm when I last checked.

Downloading SD version now, just in case.

It was certainly different from the norm and I was shocked to see Wo Fat turn up impersonating a cop.

The team's reluctance to be filmed was very well done but Max was adorable as a 'Savannah' fanboy.I also liked Fong's little bit in the spotlight.

The cargument was hysterical--Steve being too controlling & Danny being too indecisive.Savannah saw right through them

Wo Fat looked terrible after the chopper crash.I don't think he'll be going anywhere soon but I wouldn't rule out anything where he's concerned.

Overall a decent episode.

HD Version has finally arrived on On Demand at 6pm, 12 hours after it usually appears.

No more updates.

Well I've stopped watching the show for a while but I tuned in just to catch up - what a mess.

For some reason I kept thinking of the M*A*S*H episode that was a documentary/POV.

That was just a really odd episode and I really don't see the point to doing it from a talk show documentary point of view. It was just annoying and awkward and I expected something to happen involving the film crew. That never materialized, so it just left me wondering what was the point.

It's weird - a lot of the shows I regularly watch have, at some point, done a 'fly on the wall' type episode. 'Leverage' did one that was closer in feel to 'The Office' and that was absolutely god awful.

This one wasn't bad though, it wasn't great but certainly wasn't terrible. At least they're trying different things to keep the show interesting I suppose.

Part of me thinks that letting Wo Fat die after the Helicopter Crash would actually have worked pretty well - I know he's the overall 'big bad' of the show, but it would have been a huge swerve to just let him die in such a low key manner I think.

To me, the last couple of episodes felt like duds. They felt lacking in anticipation or risk.
