I just caught up watching my recording of last Sunday's episode. I guessed the split screen preview of NCIS: LA et al in the middle of the show was a mistake-but I noticed they didn't bother apologising for it at the end of the show.

Because all their announcements are pre-recorded so they won't have been able to. Their whole play-out system is automated.

Wow this split screen debacle is really causing a fuss

It was clearly a mistake, it lasted for about 15 seconds and we could still see the show, surely it's not such a big deal.

Was it annoying? yes of course it was but was it obviously a mistake? yes

We shouldn't expect some long worded apology for 1 little minor hiccup that barely affected the show.

on Topic did anything ever come of Adams brother leaving that gun next to Kono? I don't remember it ever been mentioned or even referenced again at all unless I missed something, seems odd

No Kono gun that Adams brother used has not come up yet. We have 2 episodes left so it might be mention then.

Without giving anything away I do believe its something that's addressed in the season finale

Can't not have been.

Also, is it just me or does this 'Kono's boyfriend' thing just seem to been tacked on as a "Oh crap! We forgot about this! Better sort it out quickly!" I mean, it's not even been mentioned for most of the season. I assumed it would be another 'slow build-up' thing!
A boring one at that.
Best episode for weeks. Loved Danny, and Steve's mum was nowhere to be seen!
Yes, but still not great.....Benefits Fraud, your having a laugh.
This aired in the US just as three young women were discovered in a house and had been held captive for 10yrs.Amazing.

Loved how Steve asked for Danny's badge so he could get the info they needed to find Ella.
Which didn't really mean anything....and Danny getting all emotional over the case; is he the only one with a Daughter.

Plus the Bikers help...

I'm close to giving up on this. Scott Canns constant arm flailing is becoming really annoying...

Another Great Episode I just loved it

I actually loved the whole Covert Op To Retrieve An Inriminating Microfiche
I have come to love the charactor of Doris. I loved all the sceens with Steve and Doris together they have great chemistry together. Loved seeing Mick back as Doris boyfriend.
Doris magic trick gave Steve a good idea at the end to save the day.
Love seeing Kono with more screen time and I like her story as well. Adam I have gone off him now he always crying infront of Kono, so she feels sorry or quilty for asking Adam about his family.
Micheal Noshimuri is one bad guy would like to see chin bring him down.
Adam realized Kono clond his phone. Do not know if Adam is good or bad.
Danny show he is worried for steve
Gabby leaving Danny standing at the airport was sad
Steve telling Kono off for not getting back up, would have liked Danny to have been there.
Max having to tell the guys about Kono's gun being used.

For me it was half a good episode.
Steve and Doris and the heist - well, I won't even go there!
But at least we've finally found out what happened with Kono's gun - I would've liked more of that part of the story last night and less of the Ocean's Eleven type caper

Boring episode. Kono shot in the front left side. I have lost count the amount of heros shot there. No vital organs, back in action in a couple of days. The 555 of the body.

I genuinely, genuinely didn't know that Alex O'Laughlin is an Aussie !

Just watched an interview with him and I can't quite believe it

I don't think a time-line was specifically referenced so it may well have (supposedly) been longer

Maybe the worst episode with the Mum in it.

Ah, a good, old-fashioned, heavy-on-the-action finale with a proper cliff-hanger ending. Interesting to see what impact the events of the episode have in season four, particularly with the future direction of so many characters up in the air.

What was with the Knight Rider reunion, though? Justin Bruening AND Yancey Arias! Catherine's brief little encounter with old flame Billy is surely something we will return to next year - clearly that wasn't dropped in completely at random. As long as he doesn't have a talking car, I don't care ...

I've written a short review of the season and a few reflections on the past 24 episodes on my TV blog - link below if anyone's interested:

I know the final scene was a bit contrived, but I actually really liked it - I suppose the equivalent would be to have Patrick Jane have to save Red John in The Mentalist.

I'd also be quite happy if Kono never came back either - I just find the character really quite dull. I think Michelle Borth's character would certainly freshen things up if she joined the team full time.

I was on the edge of my seat towards the end.Very enjoyable episode.

I was really glad to see Steve finally having it out with Doris. He was really pissed and I'm hoping Doris stays in Shanghai for good.

I did chuckle at both Steve and Doris adding "to be continued" at the end of their scenes together. I wonder if Wo Fat might end up being the one who tells Steve what the deal is between him and his mother. I guess it might depend on whether Christine Lahti returns next season.

So, what was with Catherine's chance encounter with old flame Billy? Clearly that's a loose end that will be picked up next season (assuming it isn't also a possible excuse for Michelle Borth to leave the series).

I think Kono will be back (sorry Jason).
I agree it had all the right ingredients for a season finale, but I was left feeling a bit underwhelmed for some reason... Maybe because I'm not really interested in Doris, and I think the Wo Fat mystery has been spun out for too long; although I'm wondering if that will never be properly concluded until the series comes to an end.
Danny and Chin were very low key last night, too, considering it was a finale, but at least they both got a happy ending

Heh, no worries . I know she'll most likely be back as well. I know Alex O'Loughlin is signed on for seven seasons, so I wouldn't be at all surprised if the same applies for the rest of them.

Obviously it's got nothing to do with me fancying Michelle Borth something rotten .. *cough*

I too think Kono will be back. I reckon she has gone with Adam to find out what is really going on.
Wo Fat is going to tell Steve part of the story about Doris and Steve is going to have to rescue him to find out what the truth is. This could be the main narrative for the next series.

Oh, Kono will be back for sure, although maybe she will be absent for the first few episodes.

It would be good to see Wo Fat more involved in the overall season arc - the Yakuza/Michael storyline was a bit flat, really - but equally I think it was right that the producers put him on the back burner this season. There are only so many times they can play the Wo Fat Big Bad card before it becomes tired. They have to mix it up a bit.

Has there been anything about Justin Bruening reprising his role? There was no reason to drop in that random Billy/Catherine scene unless they're planning to do something with it eventually.

I did get that vibe from your post
She is stunning - mind you there don't seem to be many women in Hawaii who aren't, if H50 is to be believed
Looks like Steve's got competition next season from the old flame - could be interesting!
