I enjoyed the season finale, not the best they’ve ever done but not the worst either. I’m glad there’s going to be a season five. Quote:
Has it definitely received a full season order (22 eps) as they only need 7 to get to the magic 100 number for syndication? Perhaps its only a 12 season order.

A friend of mine who started watching it has pretty much lost interest in it now as well.
I suppose it's the downside of a long running procedural like this that they have to keep it fairly light and have plenty of 'case of the week' stuff if they want to keep it going, but this ultimately gets a bit dull and repetitive. I still don't mind it though - the interaction between Danny and Steve is often worth watching and at least they've got a bit of a story arc going with the Wo Fat stuff and Steve's mother. Nothing like NCIS which is just case of the week, week in, week out and just utterly bored the arse off me until i dropped it. |

I didn't see Scott Caan at the Blessing but he had an excuse---he's going to have a little blessing of his own very soon! He and his girlfriend should be parents any time now, I think.

It's a girl!
I've just seen a news report that Scott Caan & his girlfriend Kacy are now proud parents to a baby girl.I bet she's gorgeous.
Congratulations to the new parents

25 episodes is just a bit much really - there's going to be a lot of padding with self contained "case of the week" shows with that many.

Here is the official news from the Daily Mail about Scott and Kacy baby which is a girl and they have named her Josie James Caan. I think the middle name is after Scott's dad.

Hi everyone here is some good news. Looks like we wont have to wait until January 2015 for Hawaii five 0 to come back. Sky have said Five 0 will be back in October 2014 they don't know the date yet here is what Sky said on there face book.
Sky 1 HD Hi Shane - it is indeed returning in October. I'm afraid we don't have a specific date yet though. |

I'm happy the shows are coming back early but i suspect it'll leave us more susceptible to more breaks in the shows as they're shown closer to the US air dates.

Sky One have said that both Hawaii Five O and NCIS:LA will return in October.
However they said that last year or the year before (and even confirmed a date) but kept pushing it back until it had the usual January return date, so we’ll have to wait and see. I suspect it might be January again this time. But if it does return in October there will defiantly be a mid season break on Sky One, probably during December/January/February. I wouldn’t mind an October start if they keep it to just one, fairly long, mid-season break (like they did with The Blacklist last season), but I hate lots of mini breaks between episodes (like Comedy Central did with Two and a Half Men last year, I think we’re still waiting for the last for episodes of last season!). |

And probably the new season of Homeland on Channel 4 too, hopefully Hawaii Five O still maintains its good ratings despite the strong competition if Sky go for an October start. It also means we’ll get the season split in two parts for the first time ever, with a 2 or 3 month break in the middle. I’m not sure I like the idea of an October start or not...

I'm tempted to do the same but then won't be able to discuss it on here. (Not that I do that much anyway I suppose. But it's nice to have the choice.)

I suppose the alternative is to just record it and leave it until january. you can still watch one episode a week, but at least it'll be uninterrupted.
I might do that with "Arrow" WOW I need my Five 0 now. I would not be able to do that record and leave until January need to see it now. |
