Great episode last night
This is what I have missed this season Steve being in charge getting the job done with some super Navy Seal in there as well and all the team working together on one job. Love all the action, gun fights, jumping from the roof and Bus action Had to laugh when Abby came along on her bike like bat girl really silly Glad Gabriel is dead so we will have a new villain hopefully that involves the whole team. I liked Gabriel said sorry to Chin about killing his father and to look after Sara his daughter I don't think Max is leaving all together just for a few episodes then he will be back. Hope chin will adopt Sarah now she has no mother and father Danny nearly got them all killed on the roof with his argument with Steve |

Unless the next season simply carries on from the end of this one in which case he may well not be in the first few I guess

Well there's only one episode left so I assume he's not leaving the show at all.

Okay then.
Maybe they do know when they'll start shooting the next season and MO knew he wouldn't be available. Only thing I can think of to explain it

I watched this for the first time in ages last night. I used to love the show but felt like it lost it's way. Watching last night I thought it seemed like a soap opera at times; it got so soppy. And what happened to all the great chemistry? Some of the cast seemed like they were just gong through the motions.
Is it being renewed does anyone know? |

Good episode for a season final
The only thing I did not like was the Liver Transplant. What were the writers smoking when they wrote this episode. You know what will happen in season 7 every time Steve gets in trouble or shot at Danny will start to complain about his liver will get boring if that happens is every episode. Have to say Steve looked really good and played being hurt was good The plan crash on the beach was amazing I loved how Kono, Chin and Grover when they were all talking about Steve during the operation. Glad to see we will get a Story line with Wo Fat's father in season 7. He will be after Steve. Did not Like Danny being nasty and horrible to Steve at the end. |

I am tied of Danny being mean and horrible to Steve I wish Steve would turn round and punch Danny in the face. I like Steve to be partners more with Chin. Grover and Kono. |

I don't get their relationship at all. They both act like idiotic selfish brats whenever they get together. I find their whole banter completely stupid and lacking credibility. It's the worst part of the show and I could really do without it ![]() Other than that, the episode was fine. A bit mushy in places but enjoyable enough. |

Danny can be a moany so and so but, on this occasion, Steve was the one being ridiculous. Choosing a channel that the other person doesn't want to watch on the basis that it will put him to sleep is really selfish and being ungrateful to the person who just donated half his liver is inexcusable.

That's what they do though. It's friendly bickering obviously
Not saying it couldn't do with a little less of it of course

Yes, it has been renewed for another season.
![]() I just thought it seemed as though they'd run out of ideas. I agree with Matt, that the final scene was misplaced; I know I've not watched for a while but they used to put the bickering aside when they needed to; Steve wasn't a character who wouldn't have said thank you to someone for giving him a part of his liver. However, given that it's being renewed and that as I understand it, Scott Caan is not so committed to the show anymore, I'm wondering if he's going to be written out in a way that comes back to this? |

After that CBS will need to renegotiate, and given that’s usually quite costly and the programme only gets good ratings by Friday night standards I’d say it’s quite likely the next season will be its last anyway. |

I've heard rumours that Alex O' Loughlin might be leaving the show or reducing the amount of episodes.
Personally, I feel that the show could continue without him and there's more than enough competent characters to step up and fill in. Chin and Kono would have to become the main characters which would be good. Chin is the strongest actor and character in my opinion. Do you think the show would survive without Steve or would that be the end for you? |

It’s hard to tell how much of this is just contract negotiations though... we all know his current contract expires this season so this could just be a tactic to ensure he gets the best deal (money) for an 8th season. But he needs to be careful, although Hawaii Five-0 does decent ratings for Friday standards it’s hardly irreplaceable, so there’ll be a limit to how much CBS are willing to offer. If he demands too much I could see CBS calling time on the programme altogether in favour for trying something new (and a lot cheaper!). |

Personally I already don’t like the fact that Danno only appears in about 70% of each season’s episodes, if Steve did likewise (or left completely) I wouldn’t be happy. For me the best episodes are usually the ones with both them (actually together, not different scenes filmed at different times).

I've always thought Chin should take centre stage more often, but obviously the Steve and Danny dynamic is very popular (for good reason) and I would hate to see it shelved as they both take shorter seasons. |

Reasonably good start to the new series. Though, I did find it a bit bizarre at the beginning when Steve was in this church ( I recorded it, but it missed the very start) and he came across this Jack Lord lookalike. I'm sure most viewers know that Jack played the original Steve McGarrett.
A suspected vigilante, who turned out to be a pretty mean free runner, attempting to flee from the cops. Unfortunately, he wasn't as a good a free runner as he thought he was. Turned out anyway, that it seems like he wasn't the vigilante. A little bit farcical, but I still enjoyed it. |
