Christina Aguilera - The SuperBowl.
She had a pretty shite 2010, (Flop album, flop tour, flop film, flop marriage) but she's kicking off 2011 (apart from getting pissed at Jeremy Renner's birthday party and picking a fight with Julianne Hough) by singing the American National Anthem at the SuperBowl.

She looks FABULOUS!
She's lost the pre-Xmas weight and looks so great. Sounding great too! |

She has continued that long standing American tradition by crucifying their national anthem.

The woman has a good voice but that was a mess.
She was all over the place and was straining on every note. Basically, she was shouting on that performance, especially on that last terrible note, wtf?!! and she forgot words. She always struggles with the national anthem. |

I think it's a shame the Bionic album flopped. It's by no means a bad album, but lack of promotion killed the era before most people knew it existed. Do you think it's resonable to blame Perez Hilton for his constant trolling against Christina, shouting to anyone who will listen that she's nothing but a Gaga rip-off? I certaintly think his hate campaign damaged Christina in 2010 at least somewhat - Perez has more power than a lot of people want to admit. And Christina's failing marriage wouldn't have helped her...maybe this is why Bionic feels like a bit of a lazy effort when compared to the incredible era of Stripped.
Even though Bionic is far from a perfect album and the lack of promotion was ridiculous, I still think it should have done a lot better than it did and I really hope Christina will get back on the right track this year and put more passion into her work again. She's still one of the best female vocalists in pop - maybe THE best - and there are still a lot of directions she can go in. It will be very interesting to see which path she takes and I hope Perez will find someone else to fixate his trolling on because Christina never deserved it in the first place. |

Not a disaster, but not a good performance. Her vocals just don't seem on point since the Bionic era.

Flop album [yes.] Flop tour [it was cancelled, hardly can call that a flop
]. Flop film [it's grossed nearly 100m not bad for a musical eh] Flop marriage...well if it leads to Stripped II and more focused on her career so be it.2010 hasn't been a great year all round but we still got some great vocal performances from Xtina which is less that can be said about a few other singers! having hits =/= great talent! |

I'm a great Christina fan but that wasn't good at all. Too much adlibs, the note at the end was just horrible and even worse, she messed up with the lyrics. The press will rip her apart tomorrow.
Maybe it was the feed I was watching that was the issue, but the end note had the gravelly sound which I love in her voice, or at least I thought it did. |

Oh and btw i thought she sounded amazing, didn't even realise she messed it up but i'm not familiar with the US Anthem anyway. One of the players, looked like he was crying when she was singing lmao bless him! It was very emotional

Whitney Houston mimed when she sang the National Anthem and she was at the top of her game back then. |

He was distraught at the abysmal noise that was being passed off as the national anthem.

She definitely struggles with the National Anthem. It's clearly not in her comfort range, but goes for it any way...with less than amazing results. Not to mention her unnecessary adlibs.
This past year has been hard on her and being mocked for screwing up here is not going to help. She really should of just lipsynced it like her peers. I don't think I'd have the nerve to do that live in front of so many people, for exactly the reasons she displayed. |

Why are people so desperate to bash Christina for everything she does? It's a bit pathetic.
