Like, can you take out two mobile contracts at the same time, for instant, one with o2 and another with Vodafone? or something - i remember someone saying you couldn't, but can you?

You can take out as many as you like.

I have two with Virgin, so I assume two with seperate networks should not be a problem.

If you can pass the credit checks then yes. I have 5 (four on O2 and one on 3)

Never happened. Though never likely to as not all 5 sim cards are in handsets at the moment

Theoretically as many as you like - but probably not very many at the same time.

If you pass the credit check for one, you will probably pass for two, but then the systems start to get suspicious with all those credit checks and it starts to set off alarm bells of identity theft etc.

Over time though, there is probably no limit to how many contracts you can accumulate... though I'm not sure why you would want to!

P*ssing money right up the wall if they are not being used!

I did wonder why you would be paying for a contract sim and not use it.

Some because I run a small business. Others because I just love collecting gadgets or I was offered a deal just to good to turn down. Looking at it written down it is crazy. With the patter of tiny feat a few months away it gives me the kick up the backside to really cut back.
Back to the OPs original question as long as you pass the credit check you can have as many as you want. Networks are greedy and as long as you are not a risk they dont seem bothered.
