iPhone 4 help!

Right, I've been on O2 for 18 months. I've had a Blackberry for that amount of time.

I have chosen to get an iPhone as my next phone. it came today and in it included the micro sim. Now what do I need to do to get my iPhone to work in regards to the micro sim.

Do I just put the micro-sim into the iPhone and just ignore my sim in my Blackberry. Or do I put the micro-sim into my BlackBerry and backup all the files to the micro-sim. (my BlackBerry at the moment isn't working ie. the trackpad etc. so that would be difficult) I don't mind having to manually enter all my numbers again.

What do I need to do, it comes with hardly no instructions.

When I bought mine (instore) my existing sim transferred onto the micro sim a couple of hours later.

As you've bought online I'm not sure if this will happen automatically or if you'll need to do it. Try the swap your sim site HERE. At the very worst you'll get an error message like I did as the sim swap was already in progress

You will have to activate your microsim by either calling customer services, or think on O2 you might be able to do it on the website. Either way your regular sim will stop working after you do this.

When I moved from my old sim to the new micro sim, I just used the online Swap my SIM thing and it transferred within a couple of hours. If you do it last thing at night and turn both phones off, chances are it'll be transferred by the morning!

I'll have to manually put in my contacts.

But anyways thanks for the help, much appreciated.

I recently got a 16gb iphone 4 on contract with three, but it was done through the shop. The Lady that served me put the sim in for me, she then hooked it up to the shops laptop entered some details then we had to wait while the phone downloaded various software, from three I presume. All in all it took about 5 mins - If you not sure take your new phone/sim, to an O2 shop and hopefully the O2 shop will do the same for you - Good luck with your new iphone.

I forgot to add that I transferred my address book through my google email account as the iphone can hook up to google email and calender just like Andrioid does and that only took seconds to down load - hope that info helps!
