The artificiality of the Big Brother environment doesn't make the housemates' emotions any less valid. Look at the big fight on day twenty. It would never have happened 'in the real world', but it happened nonetheless, and affected every one of the housemates to varying degrees.

Knowing that and knowing that Shell has been one of the two most controlled characters in there, that she is about the only one not suffering from locked in the house syndrome and she is the brightest one in there the likelihood of her changing her mind, seducing Stu and shagging him on live TV is probably less than that of an asteroid hitting the house bouncing of Nadia's breasts and landing in Victors bath.
