Samsung Internet @ TV
Hi
My dad recently brought a samsung blueray player with Internet @ TV loaded. The box says bbc iPlayer support. Now i understand samsung were developing apps for the ipalyer to go onto their webtv devices but recently i cant find any more info. Does anyone know if this is still going to happen ? Ben |

Forgive me, I know little....
I may be wrong but you MAY find that you need to press the 'Internet' button to go into the Internet@TV menu and use the arrow keys to go to Apps; scroll to iPlayer and click 'Run' to load the App to your system.
I got it working on mine but I'm no technophobe - maybe reading the manual would help! I don't read manuals but I seem to recall that (a) it was there when I first took it out of the box then (b) it disappeared (maybe an upgrade?) and I had to ask for it to come back. Now we use it every day. |

Apart from the usual crappy collection of widgetry the real jewel is Lovefilm. Only on newer models though.

Twitter & Facebook, and there are others, most of them American, that I haven't even looked at. Samsung website |

They seem to be adding to it, so with a bit of luck 4OD, 5 and Itv players may appear soon (can always hope)
The iplayer inbuilt in the TV is outstanding quality (blows the PS3 one away, even connected by HDMI) There's random kids games, facebook, twitter, iplayer, Lovefilm and several other similar services, Muzu which is a music video player like Vidzone. And an inbuilt media player which plays back any attached USB content or networked content |

My bluray player has no iPlayer or anything worth using to be honest!
Wish I never bought the thing! |

TBH internectivity on AV equipment still has a long way to go to give you the full unfettered experience available from, say, an HTPC..
