Lets just say you have started to watch a film from the beginning, and you decide that the film is good so then you hit the record button for safe keeping.
Does the box have the facility of recording the previous minutes from when the film started, rather than recording from the point of where you have decided to record from?

Not at the moment.

The rumoured firmware upgrade which was due (and has been put back due to problems) was said to add this customer requested feature.

I think this will be a welcome additional function for the Foxsat HDR.

Just have to wait for that firmware upgrade.

This will be a great feature if the new update is ever released. The way I deal with watching a movie then finding I like it, is to then record it on a +1 channel.

It IS possible but only if you have hacked the humax so you can FTP into into it. There is a file called 0.ts which is the live buffer from whichever channel you are tuned into.
