Will there be a Dr Who Prom Concert in 2011? How does one get tickets; is there a sort of lottery or something?

I think the next one will be in 2012, based on the two year gap between the 1st and 2nd one, although that won't necessarily be the case.

In order to get tickets you have to buy them in the normal ways, but you have to get in very early as the tickets sell out very quickly indeed.

My other half is in The Royal Philharmonic Choir, which is the one used in both sets of Proms so far. He hasn't got anything like that coming up (they would know well in advance for thei rehearsals - and he would tell me straight away, as if I found out he knew before, then his life would suddenly get more difficult!), so unless they are using another choir (unlikely according to Murray's comments to them all after the last one) then there doesn't appear to be one this year.

It is quite cool - but I wasn't allowed backstage (too much security), and there were no freebie tickets!

If I hear any news, I will definitely let you all know.

Sadly no Doctor Who Prom this year. Wasn't expecting one but was still hoping. Never mind, hopefully next year!

yeah, there was two years between the first and second one, so makes sense. Gotta give Murray the chance to compose some new tunes...

I am gasping with admiration and envy! The choir was wonderful, which was, I suppose, what Murray said to them.

He's in the choir, not the orchestra! But he's a high tenor, if that's of any use!

Something along those lines, and that he looks forward to working with them again.
