HumaxRW - First time user needs help!

I've just (today!) upgraded my 9200T to 500GB using the startech IDE2SAT adapter and a Seagate ST3500312CS HDD as described elsewhere on this forum.
I have had the son-T mod on the unit for some time and have regularly archived recordings to my Windows XP PC, and
this appears to be working with the new HDD as when connected to my PC the disk shows up as an unallocated drive in "Disk Manangement".
I have about 50GB of recordings on the old HDD which I want to transfer to the new one.......enter HumaxRW!
I downloaded HumaxRW1.14 zip file and extracted the files to it's own folder some time ago but have never had cause to use it until now................but I am somewhat confused by what happens when I try to fire-up the program. I was expecting it to open up an "MS-DOS" type window..........which I think is what actually happens for a split-second before it disappears, leaving the screen displaying whatever was originally showing and with no other activity evident.
Clearly I have screwed-up somewhere so what am I doing wrong?
P.S. There are no user accounts set up on the PC so I am automatically logged on as administrator..............assuming that is relevant in this situation.

After a period of embarrassing brain-fade which led to the above post, I have now engaged my mental faculties and sorted out how to use the "command prompt" facility on XP!

These two posts show how to use humaxRW under Windows 7 and also under Linux (Ubuntu).

See Upgrade 9200T disk with SATA 500GB drive from eBay at http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/s...1413011&page=2

Under Windows 7, and possbly under Vista, I needed to disable the Administrator rights protection to get humaxRW to see the disk. It works as-is under XP.
