Am I the only neutral here, most people hate Michelle, love Michelle, hate Jason, love Jason, and so on for all the HM's. Am I the only one who quite likes them all, and enjoys the whole show, and this forum, without the need to attack FM's just because they like or hate a particular HM?

No. I find it hard to hate somebody on the telly. Nadia's my favourite and Jason my least favourite (although I've voted Michelle out). But I don't feel particularly strongly about any of them. There's enough in life to wind me up without letting a TV programme do it.

The last housemate in the house I disliked me was Ahmed. Since then, I've not minded any of them. A have to admit Michelle is just starting to bother me a little, but that's about it.

Yes, I'll agree with that. I dont really care who wins, or loathe anyone since Ahmed....I really despsed him!

I guess I could be classed as a neutral now. Although I think I'd feel a bit miffed if Shell or Stu won, it's not going to bother me.

I'm a fencesitter like you i just enjoy the show and don't hate anyone - too strong a word for people on the television. I have people i would like to see win/not win but nothing felt strongly enough to vent spleen and dial a number for.

I'm pretty neutral now that Victor has gone as I wanted him to win. Oddly I'm warming to jason, if only because he's providing an excruciating sense of pathos in the house.
I feel sorry for Michelle and think she is being hounded unnecessarily, but can't say that I care either way about her otherwise.
I find Stu really irritating, but again it's not spoiling my life.
That's it really.

I'm pretty neutral, I find it hard to become a fully fledged fan of any particular HM during any of the big brothers. I think I've both supported and slagged most HMs at different times this year. Victor was probably the HM I came closest to supporting, if fact I may have started the first "Victor appreciation thread" way back in week one or two, when he was mainly get slagged, but he had sides to him that a wasn't so keen on. Guess I'm hard to please and not a natural "fan".

It's been one of those years for me, I'm still making my mind up. I will probably still be undecided on the final night. It has made it more interesting for me though, I'm open to any of them changing my opinion of them, which some have on a daily basis.

Yeah - I enjoy the show and couldn't even begin to imagine hating (or loving) someone who was on the TV. Might give michelle a vote out his week if I get round to it - watching her sucking Stu's face off is not really what I want to see on tv and I found her "noises" during what I assume was their second shag a little distrubing - a context thing I guess.
This place seems to be going down hill though - although it has done most years towards then end.
this year has been one of my favourites

Once Marco had gone (the first and only time I've given money to Endemol) I frankly don't care who wins.

All of this year's HMs were really well chosen, both individually and as a group. I really like the ones I like and really love disliking the ones I don't like, if you see what I mean, so they all bring entertainment value to the show. I do think, though, that there is an intrinsic flaw in the format of BB: that as we approach the end of each series, depression and lethargy set in on the HMs due to claustrophobia and the more outrageous and abrasive housemates always leave first as they have the biggest number of detractors as well as fans. But, basically, I like them all and find them all interesting, including Jason. I cannot say the same of last year's lot.

me too I didnt like Victor however the rest of them are what makes the show.
I dont often post any more as certain fm shout you down if you dont agree with them and take things far to personally.
after all its a game!

I'm neutral, although I'm less neutral about Jason as I can't see why he came on the show. I've struggled to get any passion about any of them. There all ok, with good and bad points and have all made me laugh.

Are neutals always neutrals though? Is it our personality type, and are we in the minority? Have you guys watched other BBs and had trouble nailing your colours to a mast? I know I have

I'm neutral too, but being a gentleman, feel compelled to come to the rescue of Lady HM's being vilified by caddish FMs who won't accept that they (like most women) possess the ability to sing like angels and know instinctively what's best for their partner.
I say... are you pretty by any chance?

Yes, I too am pretty neutral, but god did I want sealboy off my screen, I suspect my annoyance with any particular HM is based partly on the messiah like status some people attribute to them, but they have gone now. I find this most years, I would 'quite like' so and so to win or if pushed depending on who is nominated I would 'prefer' xxx to go, but then I'm old and boring like that.

I felt that way with Alex and Jon. Alex I couldnt stand anyway, but I liked Jon, but the cult of tickle drove me to distraction, so much so that I wanted him out just to get it over with and get everyone to shut up about him. After he got evicted I was sorry to see him go in a way, but at least the hero worship died down to an extent.

I'm neutral too, I do admire Nadia it takes a lot of guts to do what she has done. I like Dan a lot too he is just very calm and collected. Feel sorry for Stu in a way, but if he doesn't like all the attention from Michelle once he is out he can end it, I reckon he is just going along with it cos he doesn't like conflict...but I may be wrong, time will tell. Shell is just a gentle hippie and Jason is someone who likes to get things his own way, bit selfish but aren't we all sometimes.

I am even neutrally, neutral about my feelings for the remaining housemates.

Ambivalent would be closer. I actually can understand the way some people get so caught up in it … but I am probably not a viewer who's potentially ‘fan’ material.

If you view them all as just human beings in competition first, not as potential threats to ‘your favourite’ (who in reality are not in need of through the screen counselling) then their behaviour does not get such an exaggerated spin on it.

So I guess it is harder to get fanatical about them.

The closest I have come is this year with Vic. I liked the guy. I think it had to do with the how and the why I watch BB … more as a game, with attendant manipulative three ring media circus.

I really wanted Vic to win - I couldn't understand why people reacted so badly to him. I too have known people who were like his "gangsta" persona, but I realised quite quickly that it was an act (he makes a terrible gangsta !). I now don't really mind who wins and so consider myself neutral. I don't feel strongly about any of the remaining housemates, I am enjoying watching them, and think the M & S situation quite funny. I don't find myself wanting one particular HM to win at this stage though. Whether I still feel like this next week will depend upon how they all react and interact during the last days in the house.

BB5 has been the best yet!

I totally agree with you. I am also stunned by the levels of pretentious bollocks written about a gameshow and the people participating in it.You would be forgiven for thinking that its as serious as the debating chamber of government........no I take that back because the over-analysis can be hilarious.I do doubt however, that the posts and point scoring here, are intended to be quite as amusing as they are.

Nope, I'm only neutral now because my fave is out, and in past BBs the only one I managed to be neutral about was BB4 because I loathed them all in equal amounts!I do find it quite funny that I can care about these strangers in such a way, but you get quite attached seeing them everyday.

I find most of the housemates likeable every year. I have always tried to see the best in people both inside the house and in my every day dealings with people. There are sometimes things that people do that irritate me but then the next day they may do something that makes me laugh. I could never ever say I 'hated' someone and I usually have someone at the end who I would prefer to win.

i dont think anyone can be totally neutral can they..what would be the point of watching if you didnt have a favourite..hate is a strong word we all use from time to time..i think very few people truly hate michelle, victor, jason etc...after all how can you hate someone you dont know, you may hate their behaviour or their gameplanning but to be honest if they watch themselves on video when they get out i bet they themselves hate certain aspects of how they behaved
