Just came across this article in the Mail and would love to know what you all think.

Most phones already have the features this has. Android ones for example allow you to have widgets on your homescreen that updates all the time showing you your news feed. Also HTC phones are more integrated into Facebook too, with it linking your contacts to their Facebook profiles.

It's just some company jumping on the Facebook bandwagon and hoping to attract people to it by just having that name in it's title.

Wasn't the Inq1 already a "facebook phone"?
So this is nothing new really

You don't want to judge by that article. In typical newspaper fashion they've got quite a bit of it wrong. (Even the picture is of the wrong handset). The actual phones are far more interesting, its not a case of a few widgets and some synchronisation.

What is it offering that other phones can't do already?

Sounds like INQ went up to facebook and said "hey guys, we heard from some guy that you wanted to make a phone, let us help" and facebook said in reply "err...yeah...sure...you do that...".

INQ aren't known for producing anything worth even looking at let alone buying. The specs on that page are bland to say the least, it's literally just an Android skin with integrated facebook functionality, and the market they are aiming for (teenagers, basically) are a lot more tech-savvy than the press would give them credit for. I can't see this phone making any sort of an impact.

Given Facebooks appalling record on privacy I wouldn't go anywhere near the thing.
