Non-Freesat mode on Foxsat-HDR
Could anyone tell me what the consequences of switching to non-Freesat mode on my Foxsat-HDR are, please?
If I switch to non-Freesat mode, will recordings be stopped in the Freesat mode? Do I lose recordings that have started in Freesat mode but haven't finished recording? Do scheduled recordings in Freesat mode get deleted? Cheers in advance |

Scheduled recordings do not get deleted. I don't know about the other two, but I would assume the answer is "no" to both.

Recording in Freesat and Non-Freesat are mutually incompatible.
If a freesat recording is under way you can't get into non-freesat What happens depends on when you go into non-freesat mode depends on when you do. If a freesat recording is due within 15 mins then the recording won't start until you manually switch back to freesat mode. If more than 15mins then the box will put up a message, if not responded to then the box switches back to freesat mode to make the recording. This will also happen if you go into sby from non-freesat mode. (Some posts however say this is not reliable though it has always worked for me on test recordings) |

If I switch to non-freesat - what additional channels can I get, and are they stored when I go back? When I go back I assume I don't need to retune for Freesat channels ?
Any help appreciated! |

If you have a Humax box (Sony Freesat TV's can't use Freesat and FTA mode at the same time)
You can get any free to air channels from any satellite you can point a dish at. Assuming a standard freesat install using 28.2/28.5E full list here http://en.kingofsat.net/freqs.php?&p...q&filtre=Clear Site is down at the moment. Channels you save are retained but will get deleted if you do a factory reset. Using non-freesat has no effect on your freesat channel list. |
