Do you accept parcels for your neighbours?

I've always presumed that taking a delivery for a neighbour etiquette didn't include having to take the parcel around to the neighbour (unless they were old and frail). People should come and collect their parcels if someone has been kind enough to take it in for them. I wouldn't dream of expecting some neighbour to personally present my parcel at my door for me. I've always thought it's my responsibility to go and collect it from the neighbour.

i`ll take a parcel in for the new lead footed people upstairs, i`ll be able to deliver it through the holes in the ceiling by february.

We get on well with our neighbours and happily take in parcels for them, particularly because we are retired and, generally, they are not.

Today, one who has a fair number of courier deliveries, turned up on the doorstep with a Poinsettia and a parcel which looks very much like a box of biscuits.

I work from home so I regularly take in packages for my neighbours. I don't mind but I do find it annoying if they don't come to collect it.

I had no 25's parcel - no idea who they are - for three days until I sent my oldest son around. I hate that it suddenly becomes my problem - I have to look out for them and see if they're in because they're clearly not bothered about getting it.

We had an incident this summer when I took in a parcel for next door. My three year old saw it in the entrance and promptly ripped the package open (Amazon tear box). Thankfully it was a doll (not something embarrassing) and I know my neighbour well but I was mortified. At least my son now asks 'is it for me?' when he sees a package in the hall.

My neighbour took my package in today and it's nlikely they'll give it to me today as it's getting later and still not home yet, and unsure sure when I will get it.

Would much prefer if the postman took it to the post office so I could collect it tomorrow, would probably be quicker.

i think you can choose that but it requires a sticker [from rm] on your letterbox saying so, i had one at my old place.
