Brilliant subplot! I love that chair, glad they kept it xD

One of the first things I thought when I saw that pic of the new Streetcars was "Have they got rid of that chair!?"

They could always get it recovered if Lloyd likes it so much!

What i don't get is, if Lloyd is the boss, why the hell was he begging Cheryl for them to keep it?

Because he is like a lot of men. he is the boss and he has his partner/wifes permission to say so.

Because women rule the roost in corrie and the men are told what to do

This chair story reminded me of a similar tale in another show.
I can't for the life of me remember which show though

Someone had a manky chair like the Streetcar chair and it was thrown out and I think, put on a bonfire!

The cushion was stuffed with money

Does anyone remember what show or film it was?

Yes are you thinking of Keith Miller's chair in EastEnders? I seem to remember Darren Miller found thousands of pounds and hid it in Keith's chair and it was almost thrown out. Something like that? Someone might correct me If i'm wrong

Martin Crane's chair in Frasier? I believe he had very strong feelings for that chair as well

I don't recall Lloyd ever expressing any interest in the chair before. I do, however, remember Steve having a scene with Becky awhile back where he said it was his stress chair, that pulling the stuffing out made him feel better or helped him think (or something like that). Then Becky tried it and agreed with Steve, and then they cuddled up in the chair together.
