Who do you think is better. I'm comparing them because they're both on Loose Women.

Denise Welsh.

She showed a marked improvement last week.

Blimey, that's a no brainer to me.

Denise seems to have fully engaged with the process, does not whinge about her marks, has never yet (so far as I know) mentioned representing middle aged women/mothers/any other group, and actually skated better last week than Coleen did at any point.

I expected to find her irritating but I quite admire her attitude and her progress.

Denise is far better than Colon Nolan, she was really good last week. I hope the nerves don't get the better of her tonight

Maybe Colon couldn't skate because she was in awe of her "film star" Pro Partner

IIRC Denise did more skating in her first week than Coleen managed in her entire series. And she's far less annoying...

No contest - Denise can skate, Coleen can't (and everyone knows it but the woman herself)

Denise. Not only is she a superior skater, but she wins hands-down in attitude, too. Coleen was all about excuses for why she couldn't do well and giving up at the slightest setback. Denise admits where she's not good and actually works to improve herself. I mean look at last week where she VTed that she had felt like giving up when she found the step sequence too difficult but then gave herself a metaphorical slap.

I can't say she's someone that I look forward to seeing, but I can't actually hold anything against her, attitude-wise. She's someone that I want to dislike, but can't because she's done nothing to earn my dislike. Coleen was awful in every way.

Well said. There's none of Coleen's plaintive "I'm trying, I'm trying" or playing for the anti-judge vote.

I can still manage to dislike her, though.

And she kept saying how old she was compared to the others - I think she was 42 then. Well, Denise is 52 and is still better than her.

Agree with everyone else. I've changed my whole perspective on Denise since watching her on DOI. She puts her money where her mouth is, gets on with the job and comes up with a good result. OK, so her marks haven't been brilliant this week, but her attitude speaks volumes.

I absolutely agree. Her attitude is excellent, and to my surprise, makes me want her to stay in the competition for at least another couple of weeks.

You're joking about her size aren't you. Try adding a 1 to the front of the 8 and you'll be about right. She's now decided that she likes being voluptuous

Denise is by far the best skater of the two. She actually skates.

I vote Denise as well, she was better in her first week than our Col ever was is infinitely less irritating, is improving week on week and I like her which I never did size 8 Colon.

Denise - attitude and skating ability far exceeds Coleen.
