Denise is better, but she doesn't seem to have any Loose Women there to support her!

This. Thought she was better week 1 than Coleen was in the semis. She's not the best but she's improving and has a good attitude. I thought like others she would irritate me but have warmed to her. Hope she stays another couple of weeks - Kerry certainly needs to go before her.

Welch by a mile.

She's not far off being as good as the 1st winner, Gaynor Faye.

Denise may be a slightly better skater than Coleen was but give me Coleen any day. I love her humour and I thought that she was great, this is obviously why she got the job on this morning in the computer and i pod room! I have never taken to Denise, she is far too ott!

Just shows that we all have a different sense of humour.

I don't like her, but Denise is a lot better than Coleen ever was. She just seems to be throwing herself into it, whereas Coleen just played the 'poor is me' card every week.

Denise has a great attitude and is really growing on me.

Obviously Denise. She is less irritating too.

And don't we know it
Her age ( Denise's ) gets a mention at every given opportunity she has

Which is better? ------
Colleen with her annoying "look at me I'm really trying" or Denise with her "I can't do this I'm really tired".

Only one way to decide ....

FIGHT!!!!!

Just been on Wikipedia because there used to be a record of all the scores. However, this is no longer the case so I can't see the scores to see who the judges thought was better each week. I think Coleen scored higher than Denise though.

Found the scores for comparison.

So the juidges rated them:

Week 1- neither skated
Week 2- Coleen 12.5, Denise 10.0
Week 3- Coleen 17.0, Denise 9.0
Wek 4- Coleen 16.0, Denise 10.0
Week 5- Coleen- 15.5, Denise 13.5
Week 6- Coleen- 14.5, Denise 13.0
Week 7 Coleen- 16.5, Denise 16.5
Week 8- Coleen 16.5
Week 9 - Coleen 18.5
Semi Final- 16.5

Those scores are weird. I guess they must be a lot stricter now, because I'm sure that Denise has been better than Coleen every week.

They changed the scoring system and the amount of judges since Coleen was on the show though. So you cant really compare judges scores.

Good point.

There is no comparison. Denise is taking it a lot more seriously than Coleen ever did. Coleen seemed to rely on her questionable sense of humour to get her through. Denise is actually making an effort, which Coleen never did.

Deise - Colleen was a whinger & couldn't skate

Only a theory but I think especially the last few weeks Coleen was on the judges marks were inflated a bit - they probably didn't want to encourage the sympathy vote any further.

Denise - because she actually managed to do an 'unassisted jump' (two in fact)

Would LOVE to see this especially after watching Benidorm last Friday

Agree with everyone else. I'm not sure there's much to choose between them in terms of skating ability but Denise managed her unassisted jumps (which Coleen didn't even try) and is slowly improving, unlike Coleen who pretty much plateaued throughout most of the series.

Denise's attitude is much better than Coleen's. She makes an effort and she doesn't whinge and whine incessantly. Last year on DOI Friday, Coleen presented a segment from the ice. She was standing still on the ice without actually skating but afterwards said it was her worst nightmare or something like that. Coleen's a total drama queen.

Gaynor is much better than Denise, even if she's not as good as Suzanne Shaw, Clare Buckfield, Laura Hamilton or Chloe Madeley. I was at the tour last year and Gaynor did a lot of unassisted skating in each of her routines. Also, she executed the technical content of each routine very well.
