Hi,

As no one else has posted this, I guess my FoxSat HDR just couldn't be bothered last night, particularly as programmes were on different channels.

Last night, Sunday 13th Feb, it didn't even attempt to record any of the series links in the schedule:
ITV1 HD - Dancing on Ice
BBC HD - Top Gear
ITV1 HD - Wild at heart
ITV1 HD - Dancing on Ice skate off
(only one of those is for me)

There were no failed recordings in the media list, and the schedule has not updated, still has last nights recordings for each.

I only noticed towards the end of the 1st Dancing on ice that the box was still in standby, no clock, so the wife missed that.
But it didn't bother to record the others even with the box on.

Probably only the 2nd time in nearly two years of owning the HDR that it's missed anything.

I've done a factory reset this morning and put the schedule back, so we'll see what happens tonight.

Mike

We recorded Top Gear last night (BBC HD) and Wild at Heart (ITV1 HD) without any problem.

A similar problem has been reported on uk.tech.digital-tv.

We lost Marchlands on itv1 Humax Foxsat HDR and Dowton Abbey, itv3 on the old Humax 9200.

It is being suggested that as itv use two playout and Coding and Mux centres that maybe the missed recordings came from one of them which was not putting out the programme start trigger (PST). Or there was maybe a switchover of centre that either dumped the trigger. I'm assuming here that itv "assemble" the DTT & DSAT bitstream in the same C & M kit. The Service Information (SI) bitstream, I think, is still assembled by the beeb (who are very good at getting triggers correctly sent). This SI stream contains the PST, which is sent to the beeb processors from itv's C & M for inclusion.

To investigate these events, we need to find out what region comes from what playout centre.

My one rebooted itself at 21:00 Monday night and it was not even set to record anything.

When I powered it up again it had the retune message which found four changes.

Well it's been fine since, recording Pingu & East Enders no problems.

If it would have been ok if I didn't reset who know, it's working now that's the main thing.

Let me guess, wild at heart?
How did you know?
