Linsar 22LED504 LED HD 1080p TV
I'm looking at getting a Linsar 22LED504 LED HD 1080p TV from John Lewis online store next month,
as a secondary TV for upstairs. AIUI ... they are an exclusive in store TV brand for John Lewis stores. I've certainly not seen any Linsar branded TVs on sale at any other major retailer. Does anyone have any experience, good or bad, with Linsar branded TVs? |

They are not exclusive to John Lewis but you don't tend to find them stocked by other major retailers. Some of the smaller independant electrical shops stock them - Linsar UK Ltd

I've never seen or heard of them, but it's a fair bet they are
just cheap imported badged sets, possibly Vestel?. |

Another question about this TV ... is it easy enough via the standard menu to eliminate overscan,
or would I have to search for a service manual to find the relevant option via hidden tech menus? |

Since I'm going into town tomorrow, I'll drop by the John Lewis store in the Trafford Centre to check
out the other Linsar TVs they might have on display, since they only have this one available online. |

Somehow, I doubt a retailer as prestigious as John Lewis would sell cheapo rebadged junk like Vestel.

Linsar stuff is definitely Vestel.......(definite statement, I know- but to the best of my knowledge, ..it is.)

I've decided, after some thought and consideration, not to get the Linsar TV from John Lewis after all.
Instead, I'm looking at getting this Samsung XL2270HD 22" LED Backlit TV from Comet, My only concern is that there's no free 5 year guarantee included like you get with TV's from John Lewis. |
