Have had vonage over a year now with no complaints and no problems. the only connection problems come from the pc connection when internet goes down.cheap calls and talk for as long as you want.

Forgive me if I am wrong but I am sure they have a 2000 minute per month limit (Which they convienently forget to advertise on their ads on tv)

Suppose. I do remember though when they first introduced this 2000 minute thing it was without waning and a lot of people got pretty pissed off

I've been a Vonage customer for almost six years now, & as I am also using Virgin I have no BT line connected to the house which means I save on any line rental.

Vonage is a great service, good value for money, excellent sound quality...

...only problem I have is when the net goes down (not that often) but it is possible for calls to be redirected to my mobile if that ever happens.

We've moved from vm to vonage a year or so ago and there arent really many complaints that we've had with the service, just problems with vm broadband, no vat price increase, and good value for money in comparison to vm landline call charges.

Ok I have got vonage and virgin media installed now.

Calling UK is fine but calls to India do not work. Get echos and line breakup.

I've had it for 2 years,I live in canada and call the UK a lot - its not as good as a phone - but very very close,,it helps if you arent downloading when making a call...

For around £14 a month unlimited worldwide,,its fantastic - and the features are brilliant..the voicemails in email part is amazing too

Had vonage for 5 years or more. You can adjust bandwidth for sound quality. I have mine set in the middle and it is very good. On the top setting I would say it is as good as any landline.
Loads of free features (three way calling, voicemail etc)

The only gripe I have (which I have brought to their notice but as yet they have not done anything) is that when the voicemail answers it first plays your own personal message then says, in an American accent, "When you have finished your call, press the POUND key". That the HASH (#) key to us Brits. It has caused confusion and sometimes you can hear the caller say "what's a pound key?" (and you can just hang up anyway so why say it at all?)

If, for any reason your broadband goes off, or you choose to redirect all calls to voicemail all your calls are collected by the voicemail service and are emailed to you as WAV file so you can listen to them anywhere (while on holiday?) I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the service and I had no idea about the 2000 minute fair usage, but I must never have gone over it!

And finally, it's the Vonage box that has the phone number embedded so if you unplugged your box and took it to Australia, plugged it in to a broadband connection, you would still have the U.K. phone number and your friends in the UK could call you as a local call, and you them!
