She's a clever person so surely she realises that releasing like she does isn't getting her too many sales!!”

I just don't think she cares anymore It's all too controlling!

To be fair I don't think Britney could give a ballpark figure of how any of her albums have sold. She'll know when its not going well when an era is unexpectedly scrapped.

I do think its odd that no new single has been announced because its clear where TTWE has been a moderate hit its peaking an for the vast majority of the world its been an undeniable flop!

This era has been a thorough and extensive guide on how not to handle a new album by one of the world's biggest stars. They pretty much walked into every trap Christina's team walked into, the only difference, Britney had the better album and the more relevant track record!

To me this era is one of two halves, on the one hand I have an excellent album that I know I'll be playing for a long time and the rest of the albums I buy this year will be competingwith FF for air time! On the other hand this era has been a complete and utter disaster, its frustrating to see Britney's confidence blossom in the few performances she did, when you think it could be another 2 years before she seen on TV again. The interviews have been bland and sterile and the promotion has been totally unfulfilling!

To sum up, the sales of FF don't do the music justice but they far outweigh what they should be when looking at the promotional effort.

Britney can sing if she wants to, or more sinister in her situation, if she's allowed. We all know she wants to be free of the conservatorship, and I think she would make a much better effort without it.

Femme Fatale is a fantastic album, and I think it's a shame that it's not performing the way it should on the charts. It doesn't really matter to me though - I love the album, and as long as she produces material to this standard, I'll be happy.

She's doesn't need to compete with Lady GaGa or Rihanna or Katy Perry. She's already a Legend. I don't think this era will be cancelled. She's going to rake it in on the tour, and with PROPER single releases over time, this album could have longevity.

We've got to have faith, Britney fans!

S&M remix is now available on iTunes!

Just downloaded it. I didn't really like the original but the remix is better. Can't wait to see the dance version of till the world ends.

Apparentl Rihanna has apparently said "WE will be performing S&M" at the billboard awards...I wonder if 'we' means her and Britney.

Kinda wish that Britney was performing one of her own songs, but maybe it will be the start of Britney getting back on the world stage. I still can't believe that our lastperformance of Britney at a major awards show was at the 2007 VMAs!

Britney & Rihanna together performing a Sex Song at an awards show would be a big freaking watercooler topic!

I also can't believe it's been that long. Her award show performances were always the best around. 2001 VMAs still gives me shivers.

I can't imagine Rihanna and Britney performing together unfortuneately Firstly, Rihanna would sing live and Britney wouldn't so that would be the first hurdle. And while i think that Britney has the better voice, Rihanna's voice is a lot more powerful so would appear to just sing her off the stage

Remember VMAs 2003? Everyone thought Christina would sing Britney off the stage.
Britney ended up with all the attention, and Christina was far from being a better performer.

Shit happens when you're Britney Spears. You just have to go with it.

There is a thread about I Wanna Go possibly being the next single. Anyone seen it?

Thoughts?

I saw it, it's interesting. Not a bad choice for a single but I personally think either Criminal or Up 'n Down should be the fourth single - but I don't really know if there's much chance of Up 'n Down being a single seeing as it was a bonus track on FF?

Rihanna is often woefully out of tune when she sings live so I don't think Britney has anything to worry about.

Till The World Ends has a new peak on the Hot 100 at 8!

Massive increase from it's previous peak!

I wanna go is brilliant and catchy. But I think Criminal would do better in the charts.

I want 'Seal it with a kiss' to be a single...love it

'Mr Photographer, I think Im ready for my close up tonight' ...I've had that song stuck in my head all day

The era hasn't been scrapped. I Wanna Go has been announced as the next single. Nice to see Til The World Ends exceeding its previous peak in the US, and FF still high at #2 over there, even if she is underperforming in the UK.

MT have reported 162k as the second week WW total for FF, bringing it's total sales so far to 594k.

I think it'll do fine, hit a million, and with some hit singles and Promo, could do very well for itself, considering.

Thats actually pretty good considering there was no promo this week! The sales will go up once the tour begins as well!

Definitely. Sales will go up where ever she goes, and more Promo coming soon - Ellen is coming soon I think, and she's hosting Wango Tango, with a performance possible. Plus, she's got a possible two singles in the Top 10 next week, with TTWE and S&M Remix.

OMG! I forgot about the Ellen interview! I LOVE Ellen!

I hope that Britney and Rihanna re-record the S&M video!
