I do wish I'd chosen a username which isn't so closely associated with my real name. I've used it on other things so my parents know it. I've not posted anything dodgy but I wish now I'd chosen something like the name of a song.

I think disasterous in quality - Katy Perry isn't really that good.

my name's actually Megan and Cole is half of my surname, but obviously my family would recognise mimicole more than anyone on here because I use mimi all the time on other things.

I really like(d) her first album. The second isn't terrible in my opinion, but I was expecting better. I'd argue that her popularity has soared since the release of this album though.

But compared to Britney, she isn't that hot at all.
None of her songs have a lasting effect, Kissed A Girl will be remembered, but not for quality.

Well at the moment, isn't Katy Perry more hot than Britney? I know overall and in iconic status she's not, but KP is doing a lot better worldwide that Britney is unfortuneately.

Katy Perry is one of the PYTs at the moment, so in terms of success, she's doing better. Although, I don't think her new album has sold as much as Circus or Blackout, so I wouldn't say Britney is entirely redundant.

Disastrous because Katy is horrifically tacky, generic and basic, and Britney is the biggest popstar of the last decade.

Katy Perry wrote Long Shot from Kelly Clarkson's All I Ever Wanted, personally Kelly's greatest track, so she's alright with me.

And as throwaway as her lyrics are, she knows how to write a bloody catchy tune, she's written some very good songs, Waking Up In Vegas, Hot N Cold, Firework and she can do the more deep stuff like Thinking of You or Not Like the Movies.

She's not got the strongest voice but she's a good songwriter, certainly better than Britney is.

I think Britney can be a great songwriter. Everytime has such simple, yet very effective lyrics.

Yeah, she has it in her to pull out a good song, but in terms of being a songwriter, I think Katy Perry would make more of a living out of it than Britney could.

Everytime is one of her best songs, but of the songs she's taken part in the writing of, the majority wouldn't really work for other artists, they are very "Britney" whereas Katy can write for others too.

Nothing wrong with it, Britney would be boring if she was releasing a load of D+Ms, it was just a comment to defend Katy who I felt was being unfairly slagged off in here.

I watched this earlier, the bit about her life being worse than being in prison was really sad. Even sadder is she is still living that life, under her fathers watch basically.

Photos from the naked one leaked a couple of years back, I think around the time For the Record came out.

Theres a whole Different gimme More video Jive saw it and hated it cause it involved Blonde Britney in a coffin and Brunette Britney above the coffin. Jive didnt like the fact Britney was dead 'well Blonde Britney' And they were trying to keep her image clean and thought the video would not be appropriate.

The Video we got today with her on the stripper pole WAS in the Original Video but it was all edited. It was released on The internet for a few hours but was taken down by Jive, and since then its never been scene, but it DOES Exist.

Britney also used her own money to Fund the video.
