Had 12 month contracts really been stopped? I dont think they have. Its just that monthly costs would be higher than your average user would be willing to pay. I bet if you rang your operator and said you wanted a 12month contract, they would give you a price for it.
I did get a 5 or 6 month contract from vodafone a while back

The phones processors most certainly run natively Dual Core if they have that feature. The problem actually resides in the way Android is coded at the moment, the OS is designed for single core processors at the current time. Multi-Threading will be more pervasive through the OS come Honeycomb release which handsets should get some time after the tablet version.
Do you mean multi processor compliant?

How long do you think we would have to wait in the UK for this to be released?
I saw an article online that 3 will be getting first dibs apparently. But as i've been considering getting the first Galaxy S now on a 24month contract, I'm now wondering whether to or not. Unless they might let me upgrade during it? Arrrgh. Terrible at making decisions. Maybe I should just stick with original plan of the original Galaxy S, then get the Galaxy S2 when that contract expires as it'll be reet cheap by then, if something else hasn't caught my eye, that is. |

I am guessing money.
so a contract for a iphone 4 16gb on vodafone works out at £919 for the 24months.(£30 a month) iPhone On Vodafone - iPhone On Pay Monthly Plans - Vodafone tied in good n proper ![]() or you can walk into a apple store (or direct) and buy for £499 get a £15/month sim only deal with same minutes and texts etc for £859 (cost is assuming you stayed on that sim only deal for 24month) http://shop.vodafone.co.uk/shop/sim-...flt_30dayplans cheaper, not tied in good n proper and free to move to another deal whenever you want

I agree. But a lot of people don't have £499 spare to hand over in one go.
I would never sign a 24month contract. An 18month at a push. However I bought my current phone and then took out a sim-only contract. However I can not see me moving to another phone in the next 9 months or so...possibly for the remainder of the year. |
