What is your roast dinner meat?
Thought i'd set a poll to see which cut of meat if popular for roast dinners.
I've put down what I think are the popular ones but there is a problem as to how to decide. My favourite roast is roast lamb but the one I eat most used to be beef and is now probably chicken. I've set the poll so you can choose several options e.g. Beef and also topside etc. |

I've just added the poll. I will have missed some options. I was working it out on a spreadsheet and got up to 32 options so thought I should cut it down a bit

Tend to rotate Pork, Lamb, Beef and Chicken. Wont have the same 2 weeks running, but go on what looks best and what offers are on.
Lamb makes the best roast dinner, but cold lamb isn't good with chips and pickle on Monday. |

I love beef but only rarely have it as a roast and I used to have rack of lamb frequently. But economy and variety of uses dictates that chicken has to be the most frequent.

Chicken or pork mostly. Probably have beef a couple of times a year but I much prefer a steak to roast beef. Cannot stand lamb.

I tend to rotate between chicken, lamb, pork & beef but beef is by far my favourite.

We always have different meat (although I probably only do a 'proper' roast once a month)
So I cannot vote in this - too much choice for me

2 main favourites - lamb shoulder, slowly roasted for about 7 hours.. it simply falls apart, delicious. Or, slow roasted pork with crackling and cider gravy.. yummy yummy

Fillet of veal but it's not on there. That's my favourite but I do like variety and generally have whatever looks the nicest a the butchers.

The only meat that everyone in the family enjoys is Pork. My own personal favourite is chicken though.

I have two!
Either gammon or lamb. NEVER chicken or beef for some reason. |
