I was in Leeds on Sunday after a very good Saturday night stag do, great place for a party.
Sunday morning Yorkshire Capital, oh dear. I think her name was Becky, terrible radio voice, breathless and just so predictable. Track ends, bed starts long (seemed like it) no point link about the boy bands on some reunion show were all chavs, really love ? Terrible, at 12 presenter changed, got marginally better

Oddly enough they play the song with the line in there, but when Dave Berry said the line on air he got told off.

Adverts failed at 16:20, cue the muffling back up tape of Coldplay ft. Rihanna with Princess Of China after some silence.

Is this always the song on the backup play? I remember in the late Galaxy years it used to be a Booty Luv track.

Is there anything that can be done to convince Capital to improve their dreadful playlist? I don't listen any more they are playing the same songs on a loop from as far back as six months ago, even BFBS plays far more new music and has a more extensive playlist. Is this really what the masses want? And what a travesty that once great local stations have been rebranded to capital and play the same networked tedium.

No.

You're most likely too old to listen. Are you older than a teenager?

I've listened to BFBS on Digital, quite like it, though as an average listener, it's nothing special to me.

If you're a teenager, yes.

Could not agree more. But get used to it, it's here to stay.

I'm glad it's not just me who thinks these "sleek" stations are a load of rubbish.

Dreadful according to you...

Not dreadful according to the millions of loyal listeners across the UK.

It's not aimed at you - Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it needs changing.

Is there anything that can be done with your brain dead attitude??

Yes, very loyal listeners even though 5 of the 9 Capital stations lost listeners reach last quarter, there isn't exactly anything about Capital you can be "loyal" to.

Radios 1, 3, 4, 5 Live and BBC local/regional radio all lost listeners year-on-year (Q4 11 to Q4 12), so quoting RAJAR figures as a benchmark of quality is illogical.

I was a loyal Power FM listener. I've moved to Wave 105 since. I'm only 20 and I'm too old.

No, it's for bashing, taking the piss and hiding behind a pseudonym keyboard bashing as the radio industry laughs at every inane comment.

Actually I wasn't quoting the RAJAR on quality I was quoting it on the loyal listeners he said that Capital had.
