Capital need to air a classics/Anthems show like that again I feel.
I remember the One Network's Ministry of sound show, used to air from 7pm-1am on Leicester Sound (with an in the mix/non stop style from 10pm), I'm sure Toni Phillips (Current Capital Local DJ) & Gaz wesley (current Heart Local DJ) were part of these shows.
Maybe a School Dayz show should air to, featuring music from the late 90's/early 00's featuring old school dance music, and Classic HIT'S!
Also Talking back to Andi Durrant, I am sure he won awards when he was on Galaxy, especially his Saturday Night warm up, If I'm correct, he aired from 7-9pm on Saturday, followed by Mash?
Surely moving him to 7pm wouldn't be a bad idea, as Capital would surely gain listeners, and possibly win more awards to brag about, but gain listeners too.
Andi's show is what the Target audience (as stated by OFCOM) of 15-30 year olds want to here, its remixes, its urban, its dance music, plus those in there 20's, and many younger such as myself enjoy anthems & classics now and then too.
Talking about new Imaging, could we have the old Galaxy voiceovers back, just updated for Capital. I am sure the man was a lot younger. or maybe even go back to the days when Capital / One Network was more American style voice overs?
Also in the east Midlands, could we have the jingles identified Locally. or instance in Nottingham - 96.2 Capital FM, Leicester 105.4 Capital FM?? I think it would attract more listeners, as the people would think its back to being local again? and will give people a better idea to tune in (than the current 96-106), You cant tune in to it on 97.5, or 100.3 etc, so what the point, they should identify it like on their website, just an idea.
If they update the imaging, could we see an update to the schedule too?
Friday nights:
4-7pm Local Drive
7-9pm Pandora
9pm-Midnight Andi Durrant
Midnight-2am Sacha Brookes
Saturday:
5-7pm Party Saturday (Toni Phillips, or Howard Richie, or maybe even Gaz Wesley, or Hit music network Popular DJ Steve Reed)
7-10pm Andi Durrant
10pm-1am James Barr in the mix
1am-4am Will Cozens in the mix
4am-6am Throwback mix (like Kiss rehab, which seems to have been removed)
Did I read somewhere, its one of the Kiss Programme directors, and former Galaxy Programme Director thats back in charge of programming at Capital now?
If thats the Case, I feel Galaxy weekend could return?
