To be honest, it's a very off-peak show (graveyard shift on a Fri night) and likely gets lower figures than their playlist shows that are on at the same time on other nights. It's only there to keep Ofcom happy over old Galaxy requirements, but that kind of banging club/dance music isn't what Capital is about or their focus, they'd rather be playing Rihanna/JLS etc. 24/7 with remix versions on Fri nights. They're a pop music station, not a club music station.

Andi's show would be a lot more at home on Radio 1, it stands out like a sore thumb on Capital these days, and I have been in taxi's with girls who ask the taxi driver "put capital fm on!" when they're heading somewhere on a Fri night, and Andi's show is on and they're like "this isn't capital!" or ask for it to be turned over again. People go to Capital for a mix of top 40 stuff.”

Radio 1??.. More likely Kiss FM.. I wouldn't classify around midnight as a graveyard shift for specialist music. if you're lucky its around 3am when the clubs finish up and folk go home. Andi's Show is on mainly when the night is at its highest point, I would only see him go if Capital sold off Yorkshire for Heart FM. (Kiss 105 revival). Then they could put new fresh blood on air on the midnight slot with remixes.

What was the time? Maybe no adverts were scheduled. It's happened before.

Another question is do the northern licences still have to provide X amount of hours or does the time change mean they can skip an hour?

Yep, hearing Mike Posner this morning brought back some memories. It's a brilliant idea and everyone on Twitter seems to think so to, think Capital's doing great at the moment
Think there's some sound problems atm though sounding very compressed more than normal

By the amount they were plugging "every Friday from 7" during his show last week, I'd very much say so.

Probably just another example of Capital being rubbish at keeping the online schedules updated. (Probably didn't help by the fact they wanted to keep the signing of Marv a secret, so didn't appear on Freeview/other online guides.)

Was it 'ofcourse he is'? The website is the shop window for the radio station and if they don't have the correct info on the schedules then wants the point of them. It's one of my pet hates with regards radio station websites these days. How difficult is it to have the correct info on the schedules?

But is the station's schedule on the website it really important for the majority of Capital listeners? Surely most people will go from what is promoted on air or from word in mouth.

It's important for stations like Radio 4 to have up to date schedules often printed much in advance. Music heavy commercial stations like Capital less so.

Global's schedules are unreliable. Never trust what is on them. The Heart website was wrong for some of the Easter weekend. Remember Galaxy South Coast? That one had a problem every Friday if I remember rightly.

No normal everyday listener logs on to a radio station website to check what presenter is on. No one does that, only people who have an interest in the radio industry.

Most don't care who the presenter is, and if they do they switch stations.
