Time for a change I think.”
I'm in Birmingham as well. I think the presenters are fine. I'm pleased with them, I don't think they need to be replaced. However, I would like less talking and more music in the breakfast show tbh. It seems like they talk a lot more during the breakfast show than they do during the rest of the day.
On other stations it seems the common thing to do is simply talk about a current news story about an artist they just played/are just about to play, or to discuss a song. But this wouldn't work with Capital. We all know why.

Yeah, I would ideally like that, but it's never going to happen. It's too much of a risk. For example, they could stop playing We Found Love, but We Found Love doesn't lose them any audience, whilst a new song that they might play to replace it might be hated by a lot of people and cause them to lose audience. Why risk playing Harlem Shake or Bassline Junkie when it might lose them audience?
They'll always take the safe route and keep playing We Found Love. Even though everybody in the real world got over that song 18 months ago. Seriously, in my first year at uni, I heard thousands of songs at clubs, parties, in cars, blasting out of other people's rooms but never We Found Love. Not even once. Capital is the only place you can hear that song anymore. I like hearing songs from 2011 occasionally, but there's loads of others they can play. The Capital bosses must know full well that it's not what people want, but it's not losing them audience, so why stop playing it? I don't blame them really.
