Not when you've overplayed it as much as they have.

They don't even need to totally drop it, just play it far less then. Trouble is right now it feels like it's on as much as it's ever been!

I agree with this. A song should be on heavy rotation no more than six weeks in my opinion (three or four weeks average). Also Capital need far more list rotations on their playlist. I think an A list should only contain about five songs

In fairness, the song has only just dropped out of the Top 20, so it is obviously still very popular, so why stop playing it?

See my other point then, don't drop it just play it far less. That's fine by me. But to have a song played for 5 months every half hour is absolutely crazy! No wonder people are parodying the station.

Capital Liverpool are doing local programming this afternoon (1-4pm), with Baz Todd instead of Bassman.

Presumably this is so they can observe the minute's silence for Hillsborough at 15:06, which would usually be in networked hours.

They are making it sound as if The Bassman's show comes from Liverpool as the website says - Baz is in for Bassman today for Friday afternoon in Liverpool.

First time in ages capital have done that, last time they did was in Scotland where there was that bin lorry crash two years ago and they opted out of the network.
