Hit. I think you've slipped into your old habit as passing off your own thoughts as fact again

Indeed. But we have to be careful what we say to him. Remember, the mods don't allow "personal comments" even though face to face that's fine.

As mentioned in the article linked to on the 25th of May. Where have you been? If I was Will I'd be looking to hire security detail in case you follow him

He came in more or less right at the end of Capital in its London-only form. He was actually hired to join what was the last properly shit-hot version of Capital 95.8, when Scott Muller was PC. I *think* he was brought in to replace James Cannon on mid-mornings.

As it turned out, Fru Hazlitt made one of several knee-jerk decisions and staged an ex-Virgin coup on Capital, appointing Paul Jackson - who Burns had previously worked with, at Virgin indeed, and Muller was forced out.

Jackson axed Bam Bam's excellent evening show, which had barely had time to register any listening figures, moved Lucio from drive to that slot, and Burns got drive. He hasn't looked back since.

I imagine, it will probably be Greg's last week covering the Big Top 40 this Sunday as he moves on to Radio Nova to host mid-mornings. I have met Greg a couple of times, really nice guy and a great presenter, always enjoyed listening to him.

The question on my lips, is who will take the helm of deputising Marvin on the chart. I imagine, it will be the old cover presenter Heart's Matt Wilkinson? He's done it a couple times over the last year.

Or perhaps Will Manning might take on that role too?

Normally Matt will cover the Big Top 40 but wouldn't he have to do the capital throwback after 7pm though

Don't normally post things like this but has something happened to Hull's 105.8 signal? Last time I listened on Thursday it was really quiet and too much treble (more than normal) to the point where you could hear it tearing. It would then switch to a different signal like 105.1 and sound fine but obviously the volume would jump up

That's a good point actually; usually when Greg & Kat cover they take on the Capital Throwback. But since they introduced the 7-8 Sunday night show Matt hasn't covered the chart. Will be interesting to see what happens.

Isn't that hour easy to record / voice track with Marvin?

But I lose continuity as Marvin wouldn't be on the chart show

The continuity doesn't matter, it's a separate show
With that mentality, Marvin would have to present the show after the chart of every station that airs it

It is yes and that could be a possibility; I very much doubt they would do that but it is, as are all the other suggestions like Matt taking it on, a possibility. The way it will work today, and has done previously when Marvin's been off is that Greg & Kat have done it live after the chart.

Again, another possibility would be JJ could do an extra hour before his show. But I doubt that also.
