The continuity doesn't matter, it's a separate show
With that mentality, Marvin would have to present the show after the chart of every station that airs it
Well considering the chart show is called The Big Top 40 with Marvin Humes and if he's not doing it then it would be strange if he on the Capital Throwback show afterwards. That's what I meant by that mentality

Oh dear the technical problems are happening again, adverts just crashed into the trailers I'm not too sure if its affecting the whole network but on my local capital station in North Wales it is.

Do you actually know for certain someone has told him he needs to shout?

It's a shame they all shout. Can they not turn the microphone up?

Yes occasionally. I know Ant can be a bit shouty, but I wouldn't say Greg Burns, Dave Berry or Marvin were.
My point was, you've posted in the past like you knew things that were happening inside, so it seems fair to ask if you actually know he's been told to change how he sounds.

I agree I wouldn't say Marvin is shouty.

Ben Sheppard from Capital NW & N.Wales is currently on Capital Liverpool (instead of Baz Todd) and Rachael is on Capital NW & N.Wales (Where Ben would usually be today). I can see why they've done it like that as they want Ben on the bigger station as he's got more experience.

I'm wondering though, due to the Ofcom rules will Ben have to be in the Liverpool studio or can he do the show from Wrexham? Vice verse for Rachael.

This is a very good question - I would have thought that they would have to be in the studio for the area they are broadcasting to, as local programming is limited, but I'm no Ofcom authority

How come Baz is off? According to Signal 1 schedule he is doing that show tonight. Always assumed his wireless group show was live.

In most cases they would have to broadcast from the local studio for it to count as a local programme. However in this case, the oddities of the 97.1 licence may work in their favour. If Liverpool is officially within the 97.1 licence area then a local programme for the Wirral/North Wales stations could be done from Liverpool (but not the other way round).

That could be a possibility mind you having his own breakfast show on wire fm will pay the bills, not like what he dose on capital liverpool, remeber what global radio are like when presenters hand in there notice.

Correct me if I'm wrong but on the original press release regarding the launch of Capital fm Liverpool, apparently global were going to sort out that issue regarding the 97.1 frequency, but nothings happend.

Apologies if this has already been mentioned – but isn’t it time for Capital to update its logo?
It still states 95-106 FM, yet Capital Liverpool is on 107.6 FM.

I thought they might have updated it for the Summertime Ball, but they are still actively using the 95-106 FM branding.
Anyone know why?

Fair play to him, he deserved more than he was getting at capital, smaller station but he will fit in better there, especially if he is still doing his network show which is his ideal genre.

Dan Roach there too by the looks of it, Wire turning into Juice FM...

May have to give it a listen for when the stuff on Radio City 2 is a tad old for me .

I'll miss him on Capital Liverpool! Really enjoyed his last shows last weekend. For the little time Global allowed him to speak on the station he was a good laugh and always sounded like he was enjoying himself.

At least he sounded like he was from Liverpool too! You've now got Ben Sheppard who clearly sounds Welsh and Sarah Storey who sounds like a Manc (to me), on Capital Liverpool!

Correct me if I'm wrong but on the original press release regarding the launch of Capital fm Liverpool, apparently global were going to sort out that issue regarding the 97.1 frequency, but nothings happend.
They won't sort it out unless they're forced. The dual frequency issue is basically keeping a competitor out of an important market. I bet that's how they'll see it.

They have actually polished up their logo recently, as you can probably see in that image you shared it is in a slightly higher 'shining' 3D quality than it used to be.

I've noticed that during the Big Top 40, the local ID's which previously stated '95.8 Capital' or '103.2 Capital' have been replaced with 'Capital London' and 'Capital South Coast' ect. This happened when the new jingle package was brought in July last year. And also with the launch of 'Heart Extra' global are starting to move away from FM, as online listening levels are just getting higher and higher.

Not that this relates, but I would quite like to see them roll out a new Big Top 40 app as it is still in its old design.

So Rachael has to be in Wrexham then?

Where's Hitmusic when you need him? I thought he knew everything?
