It was happening all day, output stopped at about 4 o clock and the emergency tape kicked in for a few hours
Then when I finally started working again the ads were not playing so the emergency tape would kick in every time the network went to adverts

There seemed to be problems with the Global/Communicorp stations coming out of Nottingham yesterday.

If RadioMonkey is reading, this is a big ask. Would you be able to find the audio for us on radiomonitor and upload it to something like vocaroo? This would be hugely appreciated, but please don't worry if this is much of a big ask.

Nope. Last week boardmasters and this week V Fest.

I've just made a seperate forum for the Big Top 40, like this one, for discussions on the particular show. I also mentioned in the first post about the fault on Bauer stations this afternoon.

Yes just heard the fault on Radio City too thats why Marvin presenting solo. And finally we have a sperate Big top 40 forum. On capital N wales the local id played twice during the ads so Marvin must of pressed Command 1 button twice.

Major cock up at the start of Roman kemp show two songs playing together either that was caused by user error or Genisys having a hissy fit.

Yes she back this weekend, I wonder when Marvin will have his next holiday as the last person to cover the big top 40 was Greg Burns.

Funny you should say that, I've just accidentally discovered something.

I was looking through TuneIn and clicked on The Vodafone Big Top 40 With Marvin Humes.

Marvin's at Oceana Nightclub in Plymouth Sunday night doing a DJ Set starting at 10PM.

I noticed the description for the show, has been updated to say 'Matt Wilkinson brings you the UK's biggest chart show. Who will top this week's chart?! Get involved @BigTop40'

The Capital / Heart schedules have not yet been updated to prove this, not that the Heart schedule ever is for the Big Top 40, but I presume Matt's got it covered this Sunday.

Anyone that thinks the Bassman is too old for Capital needs to check him out presenting the Friday lunchtime mix block. He's doing a bloody good job

Sounds cheesy and breathlessly trying to be hip to me. Each to their own though.

That's interesting if Matt's covering this Sunday, he will have to do the capital throwback hour.

I've never understood all this age crap with radio presenting. Radio presenters abroad like Ryan Seacrest, Elvis Duran and Kyle Sandilands are in their 40s (Duran in his 50s!) and are more popular and better at relating to the younger R1/Capital age demographic in their respective countries than the likes of Grimshaw can ever dream of doing here.
