This isn't a chat site. All three of your posts are completely pointless and could have been compressed into one single post if you'd edited the original.
That's a crazy situation. I know it's just your opinion but if you're right and if that's how they feel at HQ then something is wrong! Surely the local stations are where the future talent should be nurtured? |

Amiee is the only one strong enough on Capital. So either her or someone else from outside of global. Most of Capitals presenters on the out stations are not good enough for the flagship station.
I could see the schedule being either Will Cousins or Amiee from the network and JJ replaces them. Local stations if that ever happened either Tom Watts or Rob Howard However i don't even see Bass going yet he still sounds fresh despite what people think.. |

I see that Capital are going to announce the Jingle Bell Ball next Monday at 8am, it makes me laugh how they hype it up and make out the Venue is a secret even though they have held the event at the O2 Arena in London every year for the past god knows how many years, maybe every year since it started!
Lets play it little game of Guess the Venue and the Date, before they suprise us on Monday at 8am so my predictions for this years event are: Venue: the Iconic o2 Arena in London Date: Saturday 3rd December / Sunday 4th December 2016 Anyone know any different? |

doesn't that make your point about The Bassman irrelevant. Surely she is younger than him?

Exactly. Your best off ignoring and not responding to these people. You don't have to justify yourself to anyone on here. If the mods have an issue with you or anyone they will deal with it.

The removal of local breakfast is surely going to happen sooner rather than later.

What happens in the local Capital studios when national shows are being broadcast? Is there a tech op who is in the local studios?

I think it gets switched at rack level effectively disabling the studio, but I'm just speculating.

If they do scrap local breakfast I think they will need a stronger breakfast show than Dave Berry, George and Lilah as I dont think there good enough for a network breakfast show.
They would have to let the presenters speak for more than 30 seconds or else there's no point getting talented presenters. I've been listening quite a bit to 2Day FM which is part of The Hit Network. They've got people like Hamish and Andy that are well known beyond Australia. They're good because they're given time to speak and are given the freedom to be creative. They generate a lot of buzz on social media which is basically free marketing too! |

That's what I'm thinking also. It has to be worth it. Global would need a proper rethink about breakfast and drive.

Your right the drive show would need looked at as well. Will Manning is good but I think he would be better on 7 - 10 in Roman Kemps slot. Also I cant see Roman Kemp being on capital for much longer his tv career looks like it will take off in the near future. Marvin Humes might be a better name for a network breakfast show but as you say give who ever it is needs to be able to do features etc. Des clarke on capital Scotland has a bit of listener interaction.
I can't see how even Mr "Hitmusic" himself would disagree with this! |
