What would be the point in Kiss, Capital and Radio 1 all doing specialist shows at the same time?
That would leave listeners who do want mainstream chart at that time (who far outnumber those who want specialist stuff) with nowhere to go.
By keeping it mainstream all evening Capital is, ironically, unique in London which is its most important market.
