Until she gets shunted back to 5am again. She was so much better sounding in the Capital 95.8 days on mids, why do we need The Bassman when Margherita can do the show brilliantly.

Radio feels like such a male world, almost every station has a male on air at 10am with exception for probably some BBC Locals, and also Radio 1. It's nice to hear a female voice outside of breakfast and in daytime.

Heart Bristol has three. Kiss has three. If it works, there can be three.

But I don't think it'll be JK and Joel. An established duo joining Lisa? It won't work.

My guess would be that they've entered "David Guetta & Rihanna" as a single artist on the Selector songscreen for "Who's That Chick?", rather than "David Guetta" as Artist 1 and "Rihanna" as Artist 2.

It's probably the fact that she's headlining.

Yeah, I heard that as well and it made me wonder! Capital have never done this before whenever I've listened so I agree with -ajm- that this was deliberate saturation playlisting because of Rihanna headlining the JBB on that day.

sort of heard this morning on breakfast show manchester that Rob and Rachel are leaving next week - bad news really-anyone know whats going on. maybe i misheard and after the bash that they are having next week they might be having a couple of weeks off but it did sound like they were leaving, no mention of Wingman and Gorgeous leaving though

Dave Kelly back in Yorkshire this morning covering breakfast on Hallam FM. Mentioned getting a few texts welcoming him back (despite the fact he's networked on saturdays anyway).

Rob has been talking about leaving for years and it still hasn't happened but I will keep my ears peeled for any further developments. Tbh, Rob hasn't sounded happy on Galaxy/Capital for ages, he clearly doesn't like most of the music they play and I think he'd be better off on a station like Magic. It's a shame because when he's good, he's really good and I've always enjoyed listening to his show.

Yep according to his twitter, little nap before. He tweeted that he would be on air at both 6am and 6pm.

They seem to do this a lot Bauer have people covering shifts on other network stations.

Rich Williams of Radio Aire Breakfast covered Key 103 drive a few months back. Doing his normal show that day too.

Alex & Lucy from Inemand have covered Aire and Hallam Breakfast i believe.

Don't suppose Capital Scotland has or is staying local due to the hurricane currently battering the country. (codename Bawbag )

To be honest the country is well served by local radio stations so it's not quite as vital here, where the frequency has always been predominantly a music service, rather than in areas where it is the only heritage choice. Should test Real and Clyde's networking arrangements later though if things get worse.

Capital can always do their 'smart networking' to keep listeners informed of any road closures/problems etc through the day and night.
