I know its not illegal what you're doing, but morally it doesn't sit right with me at all!

How many times in the past have you said you will not play a track, regardless of it being catchy and in the chart, until it is well established.......... yet you make an exception with this

At the mo, there are lots of other upfront female friendly tracks out there, but they wont get a look in.

I see it's on course to the number one single in the charts this week, probably due to the heavy plays on Capital and Heart, interesting!

I think Capital would have more of an influence but obviously people like the song. I mean, after a few listens already it's not that bad but it's still a song I wouldn't add to Heart's playlist and it's a song I wouldn't download either but then again I'm in the minority!

Heart are normally so slow at playing new songs. Why doesn't heart play Kelly Clarkson's latest release? It's in the iTunes top10....Yet the play Cover Drive.

Indeed. Coverdrive are signed to Global Talent.

Interestingly, the latest JLS song wasn't picked up by Capital. Is this because they pushed is aside to play The Wanted more who again are signed to Global.

Capital are big enough in the UK to have an influence on the charts. Cut JLS and invest in more plays of The Wanted for ultimately more profit.. or at least aim for profit! no surprise really.

Watch over the next couple of years for more Global acts to be promoted through the radio brands.

Get ready for the new Sam and Mark single! http://www.thisisglobal.com/talent/

Notice how all the "usual suspects" have gone missing since Cover Drive became the main talking point

I swear people don't read threads and just jump in with a random comment which has already been addressed. If you look back you will see that I confirmed Cover Drive are part of Global Talent.

Not at all. You must be losing your eyesight as I've been quite active in this discussion.

They should bring back the Bong.

I bet Sam and Mark get Heart and Capital airplay then.

Cover Drive missed out on the Vodafone Big Top 40 number one. But did get the official chart number one!

Interesting that at 4pm when they did the 30 minute top 10 run down, they said on air that Cover Drive were number one. Yet at the same time on there website the live top 10 said they were 3rd.

The 10 they play at 4pm are the 10 songs of the week combined so far, not the live top 10. That is why they move around quite a bit on the next reading at 5pm, as that is live and then they lockdown at 6. The one at 4pm will be much closer to the radio 1 chart as it is based on the week in entirety.

So own up now! Who went on itunes and downloaded other songs to knock Cover Drive off?

I don't really get how the BT40 works, but it sounds dumb, why not just do the actual official chart? Having a different number one is stupid.

Capital website is misleading, if you're hoping Steve and Karen are returning in the North East then you're lead to believe they're back next Monday with Bodg back on drivetime! You'd think if they have an auto generated schedule they'd update that at least.

Who is the voice I keep hearing on the new music intros? Is it Dan Lee?
Galaxy Gram

It definitely does sound like him! He should do all the voiceovers, much better than that creepy, pervy-sounding guy who sounds like he belongs on Virgin Radio circa 1995!

Capital has just broken into news and broken away from specialist. Now playing Whitney Houston back to back.
Now at a point when I know something serious has happened when I hear the news jingle after hours.

I suppose including James' show they have provided enough hours.

I may be one of globals biggest critics, but they have obviously reacted quickly when staff levels must be at a minimum, as they did with the M5 situation a while back............so good on them!
