Capital Radio are going in the new direction instead of the one direction.

Of course they have milked it by refusing to play the records. The whole incident has put the Capital name out there, and Ashley & Richard won't be that "upset" at the end of the day. Their advertisers are not going to switch to Radio 1 are they? ”

Maybe One Direction rather be better off with Radio 1.

Not really as Radio 1's rotations are way looser than Capital. That means their songs won't be coming around as often.

Not at all I think it's genius. Capital have siezed the opportunity to gain publicity out of this. If it wasn't for this loads of people wouldn't be reading or talking about Capital, now they are.

I thought they played a blinder. Global Radio are on dodgy ground with the way their artists are pushed.

Even people within Global must struggle to accept that really, if anyone else was releasing Twilight, it wouldn't be within 5 miles of the Heart playlist.

Ahhh, but their main "big hitter" was on this very forum to tell us all how it fits their schedule perfectly!

Yeah, course it does

Is it just me or does James sound different this morning?

Capital website is showing Rich Clarke is on air, but it's defiantly James Barr. Also Sunday night at 11 says James when it's Adam O'Neill (As it was the same last weekend).

I suppose this is because it's showing the template, which obviously hasn't been updated?

capital shouldn't have a problem with a 'template'....surely?

I don't understand why everytime the website displays incorrect info, ds users post about it on here.

Anyone noticed a new tagline creeping in (or maybe just David Guetta says it) "Love Hit Music".
Could expect to see this one used as it is much less of a mouthful.
Thoughts?

Twiggy and Emma moving to drive with Dino and Pete on breakfast from April on East Mids

RadioGoss is speculating that Roberto and Luke are leaving Capital.

Good news about Dino & Pete. Sad for Twiggy & Emma though, especially Twiggy who has held the breakfast show on 96.2 and 96.5 for god knows how long.

I expect that we'll see a watering down of Twiggy and the drive show will just be Emma. Emma on her own on Trent FM afternoons was a very slick show so she can do a solo show well.

Interesting rumours about Roberto and Luke Smith. I thought Luke was wasted on weekends as hes right in line with Capitals target. Emily Segal for Roberto's slot maybe?

What about the rest of the line up? Anyone know? Maybe they'll put James Bar on in the day? I must admit those two did have zero personality

I'm quite sure Barr will move to 7-11 or 7-10 depending on if they change the slot now specialist has been removed.

We've got Steffan on EM Drive at the moment, guessing they've taken D&P off today coz of the news, it broke not long after breakfast.

Wonder if T&E will do anything big for the last couple of shows on Breakfast?

also, doesn't look like they were planning to take today off as well

I take it if the rumours are true about Roberto/Luke Smith they could leave as early as April?

I'd rather Bassman left he's the worst jock on the station, each link is "Rhianna has been wearing... more at capitalfm.com", I'm sure he's a 40+ male trying to be 'down with the kids'.

I could see Twiggy going to Gem 106 and reuniting with Jo if Sam and Amy ever moved on.

I agree, Bassman (or 'Bass' as he often calls himself) is awful and I believe you're right, he is in his mid 40s.
