They won't stay the same for long.

What is going on with The Mixtape? The page doesn't appear on the homepage, Yet it appears of on the Schedule. Getting really confused with most of the schedule

Is James Barr going back "In The Mix" on Saturday?

Steve Sutherland just wouldn't fit into Capital's teenybopper target audience.

Edit: New weekend overnights:

12am Andi Durrant
3am Christian Williams
5am Mixtape
6-8am Emily Segal

This would be easier to understand:

12am Andi Durrant
3am Mixtape (in-line with weekdays)
4-8am Emily Segal”

3-5am on a Sunday morning that must be soul destroying. And only 2 hours for this seagull girl? Hardly worth the bother? I agree they should stick Steve Sutherland on

Andi Durrant now showing up on schedule as 12-3am on Saturday and Sunday morning. Those six hours combined with the 6 x one hour Mixtapes = 12 hours. I don't think Pandora's or James Barr's 8-12pm on Friday and Saturday nights will be in the mix (or considered specialist, at least)

It's a shame, I used to enjoy Capital. Back to Kiss....

Drake , Jay-z & Kanye West. Not usually daytime artists but have been played in the last 2 hours.

Which brings me on to another thing. We finally have track data.

Is Christian Williams, the same guy that does Weekends on Capital East Mids?? Does that mean the East Mids has to suffer 6hrs of this guy?? Thats crazy, they need to bring Steffan back (at least on the local station).
Andi needs to be on earlier, would be better matching Weekends with weekdays, as mentioned above - so James 19-22, andi 22-01 etc, and what's the point in having Emily on for 2hrs, should be replaced with a specialist show such as Sacha Brooks back or something better. Also are they not breaking Ofcom rules, as the Urban show is gone, Birmingham has to have this???
Andi shouldn't be on soo late, he is definitely in line with Capital audience, after all research shows, most people age 16-28 prefer something different, than hits, which are more popular with an audience of 10-15 and older audience 30-44. So Capital is really eitehr targeting 10 year olds or 30+ no??

102.2 had requirements lifted

I'm grateful Andi is on at all.

Capital are so slow updating the presenters time slots on the Schedule!

Why isn't "The Mixtape" on Capitals homepage anymore? It's still scheduled.

Let's be honest, these shows are really not in Capital's spirit/format, they only put them on as a token-gesture to keep Ofcom happy.

"In The Mix" is really just the day-time output but beatmixed, guess it must qualify for specialist in Ofcom's eyes, but its not really.

What strikes me is that Capital uses this "All the hits" Tagline.. You'd think that they play hits from the past as well?

To be fair, yesterday I heard 2 songs that were at least 5, if not 6 years old on capital.

Quick question, ant Payne tweeted congratulations to Adam inker on his new gig, any body know anything certain, does he now have a network show or something?

I might listen to XFM's "The Remix" this Friday,

Anybody listened to it before? The playlists look quite good...

I don't understand why the Mixtape is at 5 on Saturday. What't the point of having normal playlist between?

I think Capital's format restrictions from inheriting the Galaxy stations are starting to show. Big hits such as "Some Friends" by Fun and One Direction "live while we're young" are not getting played due to format restrictions I think. If the Galaxy stations were truly in format, they would sound like Kiss yet in London has to distance itself from Kiss.

It can't be a true hit music station yet!

Capital as a station is sounding quite good.
Its ear bleeding compression lets it RIGHT down.”

The music is better now, very good but everything they do is let down by the awful fm processing. I really thing it would sound good if they changed it a bit. Compression doesn't bother me too much it's how the highs are distorted.

I didn't notice until you posted this and now it bothers me.

Capital might still be boycotting One Direction though after the Brits thing. A bit childish if they are still boycotting them!

Capital have put the "Mixtape" back on the homepage now.

It would be good fun if Radio 1 had Andi Durrant and have him a show. I wonder what Capital would do if Andi was to leave? (Except for panic)

The new One Direction tracks IS being played on Capital - as is 'That's What Makes You Beautiful' again. As for Fun, maybe the powers that be at Capital just aren't keen on the song, after all they heavily supported their previous single 'We Are Young' and were pretty much the first UK station to go with it.

OK, cool. Capital will be in trouble though should any more guitar-led stuff makes its way into the top 10 as they simply cannot play more than a few 'spice' tracks.
