At least 3 of my favourites are gone (and congratulations for you people who are able to remember names because I sure can't) : the bloke with the soft voice, a little bit husky, I reallly liked, the girl who played guitar with her "funny" voice and tatoos on her arms seemed really talented, and then there was poor Rob whom I was really rooting for.
I'm glad the Jersey clown is gone though.
JC is cute and all but he really fcked up imo so I don't know.
So that's my review sofar.
I should be a journalist.
Not really.

Really enjoyed tonights show, group performances are hectic to say the least.

Best performance was " The Minors", and their mothers of course, they were fantastic.

Glad tonight was a two hour show, it allowed them to show all the drama without sacrifising the singing by rushing through the performances like they often do, it felt like we got to see a lot of people, many who i cant remember seeing in the auditions but some pretty good voices.

Spoiler
I was thrilled my favorites made it through. I just wished that Chelsea Oaks did too!

Why is American Idol going to Vegas next week? It kind of seems like a waste of time. I want to get to the top 24 that's when I really start loving the show. Just seems like a cheap trick to get the show to be extended for a week. What do you think, are you excited for Las Vegas? http://whosright.com/poll/american-idol-are-you-excited-about-the-new-round-in-vegas

Yup, quite a few of my initial favourites went last night, including Rob who I really liked

JC is cute and talented, but he's way too young for this, I've no doubt he'll make top 24 and go quite a way, but I'd worry about him winning, way too young both in actual years and in maturity.

I find it so hard to discuss the programme at this stage as I have no idea of their names but will try to add a few points !

I have no idea why the judges kept the 2 girls from the last group to sing (the ex-couple and the girls whose boyfriend was elimated earlier) - they sounded awful ! the guy mucked up his words but I thought he had a nice voice.
Another groupl - think they were called spanglish - the only one I thought was any good was the guy in the white shirt - think he was the only one that didn't get through !
the girls who got Steven Tyler on stage - I thought they were all good and all deserved to go through to next stage based on what I heard.
There was a girl called Stevie towards the end with very long hair - not seem her before but from what I heard she sounded amazing.
There is also the girl who looks like a mini beyonce who sounded very good.
I do want to like the guy who sounds a bit like Adam Lambert - he is cute and he has the potential there to be amazing like Adam but not sure he's got control of his voice and not sure the judges will want someone so similar to Adam

next year I should write down names !

Did anyone see Jerome Bell last night? Cant remember seeing him in a group?

Another guy who really wound me up last night but unfortunately did get through - Jordan Dorsey, tall black guy who thought he was fabulous and dumped his original group ... just waiting to see him falling flat on his over-ego'd face

I must say, for all the hype they were building up the minors with I wasn't overly impressed. They were good enough to go through but I didn't get why everyone thought they were as amazing as they seemed to think

There were a couple of disappointing decisions but, overall, I was happy with who got through.

I would have loved that Clint to have been dumped though. His voice wasn't nearly good enough to compensate for his behaviour

I was disappointed with Scott. Not with his singing but with his rudeness earlier, walking out on that group who were singing for him...

Regards

Julian

Chelsea did get through. She and Jacqueline got through but Rob didnt.

Jacqueline is my fave atm, bad last night but her audition was my fave.

The Adam Lambert wannabe guy getting through was a shock , that was painful , there were a few other strange decisions but that one particularly stands out for me .

Loved the groups stage this year and even better you can watch them on youtube easier!
Loving Pia Toscano and Lauren Alaina, though they were both fantastic in their groups.

Does anyone know if Holly Cavanaugh is still in the competition? I saw her at bootcamp once but didn't see her in any of the groups?

Yeah, I was totally surprised that the judges put him through! I wasn't overly impressed by the groups, I thought the young ones who had their mama's in tow, were pretty good.

I'm just watching Pt 4 now, the solo's round, as I missed it yesterday, and I'm very impressed by pretty much everyone. The girls are fantastic, and I really do like Casey Abrams. He was great with his double bass.

I do however think I was probably being OTT when I said I thought he'd win.

I don't think he should win, he isn't as good as the range of talent he's up against; they should have really gave him a few years for his voice to develop. But then again, he wouldn't be the "fat and friendly kid" anymore.

Agreed, this guy seems to like to take risks and has a good voice. Playing the bass was badass. Sold.

Also I've found the name of the one I liked : Paul McDonald from Nashville ! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KcHU-BnFwIA&NR=1
He's gone isn't he ? Shame. I suppose you can't go far if you're not a belter and a warbler who stomps all over the melody ...

Oh well, at least Steven Tyler is funny.

Yup, I liked him as well, but he seemed to disappear at some point in Hollywood week - oh well, still a few I like hanging around.

I don't think JC will win, but I think he'll go quite deep into the competition
