Well,
I spent absolutely ages deliberating what mobile to get. I was replacing an "old school" Nokia 6303 classic.
I knew I didn't want a touchscreen smartphone - I don't like touchscreens and also was not prepared to have to charge the phone every day or every other day. No way!
So, I began looking at the Blackberry range. My wife has the Blackberry Curve and that seemed a decent enough phone - but I was really after a phone that took decent enough photo's (had a 3.2mp camera on my old Nokia so wanted to upgrade this a little) - I also wanted a fairly decent music player with a 3.5mm headphone jack (essential for me!) as well as a "biggie" here - and that is good battery life.
I am pleased to say, for me, the Bold 9780 was a fantastic choice. It is very easy to use (once I had learnt it's features which took a couple of days coming from an old style Nokia!) but once you know where things are and how things work, it's easy.
The camera is very good. It's a 5 mp camera - so - not the best obviously on a mobile - but there again - no where near the worst - the pictures are sharp and the auto focus is excellent - it is outstanding for close up shots.
The music player is perfectly adequate for my needs. Sounds fine through my own headphones and I can't see any issues with it. Yes - I know there are much better phones for music (and cameras) out there, but, as I said previously, depends what you want out of a phone - and this met all my requirements.
Finally, battery life is superb. I use the phone for quite a few texts each day (about 5 mins worth of calls), the odd camera shot/music as well as a small amount of wi-fi web browsing and I only have to charge it once per week.
To sum up - I don't think you'll be disappointed.
