Some people would. Horses for courses. To answer the OPs question I don't think it's available over here, all UK shopping results come up blank. |

Was talked about in the middle of 2010 (Japanese launch) but check out the anticipated price.... http://www.techdigest.tv/2010/07/pan..._launc_10.html Quote:
Priced definitely at the higher end of the market (around £3,500 when converted from Yen) Hands up everyone who thinks UK consumers will pay three and a half grand for a 46" 3D TV with built in Blu-ray player. Available in 46 and 42 inch sizes |

Suppose its only 3.5 years sub to Sky a few appear to pay,but thats up to them, only putting it in perspective.
Integrated sets are fine, but there is more to go wrong, then you loose the lot. JO |

I take your point, but you'd have to agree that the overwhelming consensus of posts here and elsewhere focus on price first.
If that sort of £'s figure wasn't an issue then Pioneer and Fujitsu would still be in the TV market, and Samsung, LG and the supermarkets wouldn't sell nearly so many TVs. It's difficult to see where this product fits in the retail market. Sheds won't sell it because it's so much more than their average TV prices. There aren't enough specialist TV stores in the UK (if there are any left) to generate more than a handful of sales. Net retailers could advertise it; but who would take a punt on a £3.5k TV they can't see in the flesh, and do Panasonic really want their flagship model flogged by pile-it-high.coms? RicherSounds could take it....but why? Look at the Philips 21:9 set they're selling. Now that's something different, but launched at £2500 or so, and now ticketed at £999 - which personally I think is an absolute steal. Outside of say the Harrods crowd and the custom install market, is there really a place for this set? IMO, anyone with £3500 for a 46" integrated TV is probably looking for style over substance.....and they're going to spend the extra on a B&O |

Not coming to the UK this year. No mention in the trade guide or the show in London last week.
On a side note anyone seen the Bose TV (actually it's a monitor with a bucket-full of speakers stuffed behind the screen) but I believe thats in the £6k mark from memory in 46"!!!! Yup £6k http://www.bose.co.uk/GB/en/home-and...inment-system/ |
