ER....From the beginning.
The one programme I'm really enjoying on Sky Atlantic at the moment is ER, right from ep 1,it's becoming my 2pm fix! I got into ER much later and it's interesting to see some of the earlier storylines...and George Clooney is just lovely..

Oh I love love love ER. I got into it very late too... Think the first season I watched was season 10 on TV but I was that hooked I immediately started buying the box sets so I could start from the beginning. I've been watching the odd episode here and there.... is funny how old it all seems and how young they all look! Love watching the early episodes just for Dr Benton!

I've been watching ER from the beginning since December 2008 on DVD as I'd watched bits of it throughout the years like Romano's Death which I saw when it first aired here. I'm now up to Series 10 and it's still as brilliant as it was in the beginning.

I watched E.R from the beginning when it was on tv so it would be nice to revisit those old episodes on Atlantic. It had great storylines and engaging characters.
It was never the same when Dr Ross left and Carter wasn't in it Although Dr Kovac was rather lovely I always thought of him as the new guy lol .

Oh I never ever got the thing about Dr Ross.
![]() In the later episodes Ray was my favourite. One of the last episodes that he appeared in was one of my all time favourites. I must've watched it about 20 times! |

Oh, I get so nostalgic for old ER! Dr Doug Ross, Dr Mark Green, Nurse Carol Hathaway ... I don't get Atlantic, probably not a bad thing as I'd just waste my life away watching it 24/7! Enjoying Nurse Carol Hathaway in The Good Wife though.

I started watching ER around the time when Lucy(?) and Carter got stabbed. And watched it religiously ever since. I've not seen all the earlier episodes, but have seen some. I was going to watch them all on Sky Atlantic but didn't have time in the end. |

Just gone into season 4 on Atlantic and the arrival of Alex Kingston (Dr Corday) I didn't realise she came in so early on.

I am loving the repeats of this as I loved the earlier ER. But it is disappointing it is rushing so quickly - already on the 4th season

Watched ER right from the start and it is still in my top 5 shows of all time. I just couldn't watch it again from the beginning, knowing what happens to each character - far too emotional.

Yes thats how I feel about ER too, too emotional to watch again, but I did love that show AND amazingly something that was allowed to grow and develop its characters and storylines by the TV execs, it stayed strong through all 15 series.

I've been following this on Sky Atlantic too as I haven't seen the early series since they were first aired back in the mid 90s.
I had forgotten how good the early series were and I think that the characters from the early series like Carol Hathaway, Doug Ross, Mark Green, Susan and Carter etc seemed to gel in a way that we didn't get in later series (although there were some great characters later on as well). I did stop watching this about series 9 or 10 I think and then started again for the last couple of seasons, so I hope they do show this all the way through so I can see the ones I missed. |

I think ER is probably my fave show of all time. Have got them all on DVD and watched them numerous times. I think over the whole 15 series the only character I really didn't like was Brenner in the last couple of series. Not sure what it was about him, just didn't like him. There were a few characters I didn't like at first but then grew to love over time such as Pratt and Morris.

That was one of ER's strengths - introducing an unlikeable character and yet we ball our eyes out over them at some point.
I remember even feeling so sorry in the end for that perennial bad guy Romano, as he struggled to face the truth about his future and his love for Elizabeth. 5 star stuff throughout. |
