Same! I've just been listening to the original Josh Turner-Your Man and it's now stuck in my head. Josh also has a very deep voice, so Scotty's version doesn't seem that different if compared to the original.

This is the first episode that I've watched fully and have to say how different the atmosphere is with the new judges; it's much more relaxed, nicer and more about the contestants and the songs (and sometimes about the sob stories). I was very surprised this year that a lot of people got second/third chances when they forgot their words and even got through when I don't think they should have (drama queen Ashley Sullivan).

My faves have to be:
Carson - So funny, has a great personality
Casey-original
Thia-good singer
Sophia
Robbie-really liked the way he sang (Gravity)

Why wasn't James(forget his surname) shown tonight? Was sad to see the blonde girl from the couple(Jacqueline or something?) have to drop out Don't think she was good enough for the finals but I liked her.

Some brilliant talent tonight. Standouts for me were Haley Reinhart, Casey Abrams and Jacob Lusk.

Not really feeling Brett, Thia, Chris Medina or Jovany...

Although we didn't get to see her tonight; my favourite is by far Pia Toscano.

Thought Casey Abrams was great. Just a musician through and through. Image might be a problem though.

Jacob lusk - came from no where, dont remember his earlier auditions. Needs more control though - its like driving a sports car without a steering wheel...

Soooooooo many good singers this year! I thought Idol would do badly without Cowell but have enjoyed this season as much as any other.

I'm enjoying this season more - I always got bored of Simon's decision being THEE decision.

Really pissed off it's Beatles week though - X Factor has ruined them for me

It will be really interesting to see how well the Americans cope with Beatles songs. So many of the performances on X-Factor were dreadful.

Casey - really, really want to like him, but just don't, but I've worked out why, he reminds me of Rory McGrath, and I've got big issues where Mr McGrath is concerned.

JC - feel slightly obliged to support him now as he did sing David's winners song (much as I hate the bloody song)
