Do not want to sound nasty but I thought if you forgot your words like the blond female singer who also had nerves before would of been told sorry but do not think you are ready this year etc.

I think it is obvious she has been kept in because she makes good TV. She will be dropped next week imo.

Totally agree, they all actually seem interested in them as performers, rather than judging them as 'radio ready recording artists'.
Though I have to say, there are some cracking contestants this year, so I think the judges are taking it all pretty seriously. Randy has worked far better with Steven and Jennifer.

Wow, Ta-Tynisa has been one of the rumoured contestants I hear about months ago, and I've waited to see her for ages, and then she appears and sucks!

I LOVE saying her name though!

Randy's been reborn on the new panel. I was dubious about them keeping him and not going for a completely new panel - the 'it was kinda pitchy dwaaaaag' had got very old, but he's working brilliantly with Steve and JLo and seems really interested again.

Really looking forward to the lives for the first time since AI7

First year I have really followed it and I am stunned by the talent. It really makes x factor look second rate and the judges are fantastic. Simon is really going to have to go some to get as good a bunch as this lot.

I agree with this;
I've followed it right the way through this Season and the talent is phenomenal compared to previous seasons and compared to X Factor... (perhaps an exception is Leona and Ruth, but even Ruth is Spanish...
Watching AI makes me feel like the UK has zero talent! I think the judging has been real and spectacular. It's so, so, so much better without Simon; the guy who doesn't give second chances and cares only about the ratings. If you just let the show be a talent show, the ratings will go through the roof: as I'm sure AI's are, or will do very soon.

I agree the judges seem to work well together and take it more seriously.

I hope AI survives against the US X-Factor as I like the format better.

X-Factor is too gimmicky and having the "judges as mentors" just turns it into a competition between the judges instead of the contentants.

I love Haley, Lauren and Thea. Not happy Ashley got through.

Yes, Thea was fantastic. It was the first time I'd actually had a chance to see & hear her, and I was very impressed. Also, I like Julie Zorilla, she played the piano.

Ashley is a trainwreck, she looks completely knackered and worn out already. She blew it too many times, I'll be very surprised if she gets through to the finals.

Am liking Lauren, Haley, Jacob, Julie Zorilla...

Not feeling Casey so much - great musician - not great singer.

It's kind of weird how alot of the guys look like a thin Andrew Garcia.
Remember him from last year, the potato with a pair of glasses on?

My attempts to forget him has almost worked, then Chris flipping Medina managed to give me horrific flashbacks.

Garcia has to rank as the most disappointing contestant ever - looked so promising during Hollywood week, ended up making foot fungus look interesting

Glad I'm not the only one getting Andrew Garcia vibes from Chris Medina. I think he would flake out just like AG if he gets through to the finals.

I don't think he's that great either. Definitely one of the weaker ones.
