Did I miss something?

Did someone say choice was a bad thing?

Erm...no.

You seem to have very good reasons for not wanting an iPhone. Other people don't seem to be so bothered by these things and are quite happy to buy into the whole apple ethos.

Personally, I like the fact that apple look after the operating system and hardware. In my experience it makes their products more focussed and their software less glitchy. It's by no means perfect, but in my experience it's more consistent.

That's just me though, I've got friends who don't mind the glitches and actually enjoy the freedom of choice you get with android. They tend to be a bit more 'into' their phones.
is making a call on a phone a glitch? lol

i think there is an app for finding the nearest phone box isnt there?

and having a choice is a bad thing because?

I dont want to be forced into only using one handset
I dont want to be forced into using one specific bit of software to use my phone.
I dont want to be forced into paying over the odds for a phone because only one company make it.
You can buy what you want, no one "forces" you to do anything.

Oh let's have some proof? The worst phone we have for dropping calls in the house is my works Nokia on Vodafone. The iPhone on O2, the Nokia E72 on Orange and the LG Renoir on Orange all work very well.

You either are getting confused with AT&T in the US or bad network coverage here. The iPhone is not responsible for carrier problems.

Extremely popular with teenagers at the moment. My 16 year old wants one for her birthday.
This is what i don't get. Why its so popular for teens just for the blackberry messenger? The having to pay extra for something i can do free on my Android phone or any other phone for that matter is bewildering!

I install MSN on my phone and can just have that on constantly if i was odd enough to want people to get in touch with me day and night!

I must be missing something lol
