Failed recordings
Hi - Has anyone experienced problems recording Children's Hospital on ITV1 on Friday evevings?
For the last three weeks I have had failed recordings, unknown reason. For the first two weeks it was series linked and tonight I cancelled the series link and set it for a single recording but it still failed. Alan |

I did not record this but some ITV1 EPG data sometimes seems to be in error and the Foxsat-HDR box does not seem to handle it very well.
Perhaps the firmware upgrade promised last year will make it better... Automan. |

Sounds as ITV are still messing up the event id's. This stops series and accurate recording working properly, Workaround set a one off recording and then convert it to a manual timer by editing it in the reservation list by padding the start and end times. You can also set a repeat pattern, daily, weekly, everyweekday for example

Thanks for the workaround, Graham. I have an alternative. Since the first failed recording 3 weeks ago, I have also recorded the programme on my 9200T using manual padding.

Alan As you have discovered the same screwup at ITV affects Freeview as well . Will they ever get their act together ?. If you look back there was a spate of problems for exactly the same reasons (most of the data is lost due to the demise of Hummy.org data)

As I recall, last time this occurred, Bob Cat was kind enough to raise the matter with a senior level contact at ITV, with magical results. Perhaps he would be good enough to do the same again, as this seems to be the only way to get the attention of someone who can fix the problem..

I wanted to watch Michael Ball who is taking over from hosting Lorraine this week. Set Freesat+ for 8.30am and just for good measure, on ITV+1. Didn't do any good though. Neither of them recorded.
![]() I'll try ITV HD tomorrow morning. |

I've noticed a marked increase in the number of failed recordings recently on my Foxsat-HDR box. Each one of them states the same 'reason unknown' error message.
I'm running the latest version of the box software (HPRSFCI 1.00.13) but have noticed that every day when I bring the box out of standby it asks if I want to scan for new channels - previously this only used to happen occasionally. Any idea what I should be checking? |

When we get failed recordings they were always on ITV channels. It's not just me then?

I've been in touch with Humax and they've kindly agreed to swap out the box. Very efficient: a courier arrives with the new one and takes away the old one.
