I have to say I agree with you. My father was killed during WWII but I don't consider him a hero. He was in the TA's and was among the first to be called up for action and sadly died.

The best technician doesn't always win - and it is wrong to assume that best technician should win. Sam, Laura and Chloe have obviously has previous skating experience, Vanilla Ice too for that matter. So they have started with an advantage. So therefore not suprising to see someone who starts from scratch pulling the vast majority of the votes because people feel they can identify with him

And you are very unfair to put him in the same group as Wagner, Widdecombe, Sergeant. For starters he can skate - and is challenging himself. Johnson is far better than the likes of Kerry, Dominic, Comedy Dave. He is there on merit, and because the public want him there.

Remember Strictly- Chris Hollins - started from scratch - worked very hard and was likeable - it is just the same with Johnson”

A brilliant post, sums the whole thing up perfectly.

What is so special about him that we are not allowed to boo him? He is one of the worse skaters. Just because he is/was a soldier doesn't give him special privileges - in fact, he isn't even a celebrity so shouldn't be there at all.

No special treatment required but nobody should be booed. You don't have to enjoy anybody skate but why would you want to boo someone? If that sort of thing floats your boat stick to crass like Jeremy Kyle.

Nobody is asking for special privileges for Johnson. Booing someone for no reason other then you didn't get the result you wanted is wrong. And it would be wrong if the person was Johnson, Kerry, Sam, Laura or whoever. This kind of mob mentality kind of ruins reality shows in general for me.

Also I don't understand this arguement about not being a celebnty. If Chloe who's really famous for being Richard and Judy's daughter can be classed as a Celeb. (I happen to like Chloe by the way). Surely Johnson whos known for winning the Victoria Cross can be classed as a Celeb. Afterall I bet that if you had shown a picture of both Laura and Johnson to people in the street before the show even aired more people would have recgonised Johnson.

This all irelevant, there was no booing at JB so can people stop going on about something that didn't happen, its bloody pointless.

If people keep using the excuse that Johnson shouldn't be on the show because he ain't a celebrity what I said is relevant.

What I'm suggesting is that arguing over whether or not they (any contestant) deserve their places in the show is pretty self righteous and pointless. Who is anyone on here to decide whether someone should be on the show, not to mention we are now several weeks in and most if not all of the contestants left have put their utmost effort into the show. AND Johnson WAS NOT booed.

Thats the point I was making. Loads of people on here lately have been saying that Johnson doesn't deserve to be there. I was just pointing out that hes just as deserving as the others. (They all deserve to be there.)
